Happy Monday, friends!
I hope you all had the BEST weekend!
Today’s blog post is a smorgasbord.
It’s a little AMAZON LATELY + WEEKEND LATELY.
Starting with…

…who’s still walking every day with me in June?!
Last Monday, Natasha commented on our SUMMER SELF-CARE post that she had written down how far she was walking every day in May to keep track for the entire month. I loved this idea, so I’ve been doing that in June. Every day, I’m jotting down in the notes app on my phone how far I’ve walked (when I’m out intentionally “walking every day in June”). At the end of the month, I’ll be able to see how many intentional extra steps I took. I love this idea!

My view from the couch upstairs while I worked on Friday afternoon. My kids’ artwork makes me so happy.

The view from the couch downstairs on Friday night with two sleeping dogs watching the Summer House Reunion.

On Saturday morning, it was time to do my SATURDAY GRATITUDE! If this isn’t a part of your weekly practice, I highly encourage you to do it!
I headed to the gym after my quiet time and then…

…stopped by the grocery store for a few provisions and…

…my Venti Pike 🙂 .
On Sunday morning…

…I snapped this pic because, thanks to a very bold coyote, we are now taking air horns out with the dogs. Do you see the lights reflecting in the grass? Those are the exterior lights. Well about one minute after I took this pic, the power went out on our street and it started storming. Power first and then storm…it typically happens in reverse but oh well.

Andrew and Smith were at the gym, but they were oh so sweet and brought me a Starbucks home. (I guess they were also probably scared of coming home to an un-caffeinated mom.). I waited until there was light outside to do my Bible study. A storm + no power created a little chaos for church. Smith showered in the dark and went, but the other five of us decided to wait for the power to come back and then watch from home. Power was back around 9:30 (woohoo!), and we wrapped up our weekend with a cozy, rainy day.
That’s a little Weekend Lately.
If you’re looking for a little Amazon Lately, these are making me so happy…

…two new summer Laneige scents! I am loving both the LEMON SORBET and the PEAR!
A little red, white, and blue from my Amazon cart…

I wore THIS KNIT SWEATER on Memorial Day both with my airplane outfit and with my dress for dinner. It’s so soft!

You guys, I shared THIS DRESS last year, but it is only $10…and I absolutely love it! It comes in so many other colors, it’s so soft, the quality is really good…it’s one I like to live in especially on hot days. It’s a crazy good deal!

I love my Puras!! I bought REFILLS for the bunk room because, well…kids.

I have been talking about heated eyelash curlers for YEARS. My mother-in-law is the one who got me started on them and once you go heated, you can’t go back. Well after years and years of using battery operated ones (and having to replace the batteries often), I bought A RECHARGEABLE ONE! Such a game changer, y’all. Game. Changer.
Speaking of game changing things…

…THANK YOU for this recommendation! THIS ICE PACK was a life saver for Kensington’s wisdom teeth removal. I cannot thank you enough!

We bought AIR TAGS plus THESE WATERPROOF AIR TAG KEYCHAINS for Smith’s fishing and boating gear.

Ashby’s favorite SOCKS, check!

We love our giant inflatables! I love love looking out at my pool and seeing them floating around. Right now, we have a FLAMINGO and a DUCK!
And finally…

…a TAILGATING FLAG POLE. Because we are clearly “those people”. Sigh.
And that’s a little AMAZON LATELY + WEEKEND LATELY combo for our Monday!
I hope you have the best best day! I’ll see you tomorrow. xx

Thank you Shay, for the amazon recs ($10 a dress that you like? Yes please!) and the glimpses of positive routines like meal planning and exercise but also being in the Word and thoughtfully, intentionally grateful, giving thanks to Him🙏🏼 happy Monday!

Can you do a review on your Pura some time? I have one, but I am not in love with it. I feel like it smells great for MAYBE a week and then it fades. The cartridges are expensive and I wish they lasted longer (or at least I could smell them longer!) That being said one time when I had a scent I did not like I could smell it forever 🙂

I just looked because I thought I had one. I didn’t have a dedicated post, but I have multiple posts that mention it. I love my Puras! I think the key is smaller spaces make the biggest impact. I stopped putting them in larger, more open rooms.
Laura says
That’s good to know! I live in a condo so just have it in the living room/dining room/kitchen which may just be too big. That is super helpful, thank you!

Shay we had family who lived in TN whenever we visited we saw people walking with golf clubs…. It was in case coyotes came!
Hope K is feeling better after a cozy weekend.
Mix and Match Mama says
Can you imagine me and a golf club against a coyote? I think the coyote would laugh. Bahahaha!
Anna says
Can we talk about the summer house reunion!!!! I can’t wait for the final tomorrow.
Mix and Match Mama says
I CANNOT LOOK AWAY.
Sarah Shaneyfelt says
SAME!!! I need to know your thoughts on the timeline!!!! When do we think West and Amanda got together? And I definitely do not think they slept together AFTER the statement was put out–she was quick to answer that.

Do y’all watch The Floor? It’s a game show hosted by Rob Lowe. Contestants have their expert category that they challenge others in. This past week, one was Reality Show Winners. Catherine’s picture was one of them. Unfortunately the contestant passed and did not know her, but I did!
Mix and Match Mama says
I love Rob Lowe, but I haven’t heard of The Floor. I’m going to look it up now to see if I can find the segment with Catherine. How fun is that!
Ann says
How are you liking HEB??
Mix and Match Mama says
I’ve only been one time. It’s really big…so I continue to use my neighborhood grocery store and Trader Joe’s instead.
Holly Seixas says
Do you use BookBub? I just discovered it. You fill out a short survey about the types of books you like and they offer deep discounts on ebooks. The books are current. You buy the books through Amazon or B&N or your usual provider. They send you emails with offers on books you might like.
Mix and Match Mama says
I have never heard about BookBub! I am looking it up right now. THANK YOU!
K.K. says
Hope it’s a GREAT week, Shay!!
Faith Kapp says
I love your Amazon finds! Already added several to gift ideas for my adult children!
Stephanie Goodman says
Shay, I like your hair with highlights!
May I ask why you aren’t highlighting anymore?
I just noticed on myself this weekend that I need highlights once again. It brightens me up and makes me look younger I think. Just my opinion!
Thank you for the Amazon favorites. I’m going to try a few. Especially the heated eyelash curler.
Mix and Match Mama says
Blonde just didn’t feel like “me” any more 😉 .
Paige Sullivan says
Major game changer in the ice pack world!!!😉❤️
Sheaffer says
Okay, just ordered ice pack #2!
Kristin Anderson says
What are the sofas on your upstairs in Nantucket house?
Mix and Match Mama says
That is from my couch in McKinney (same sofa that I have on Nantucket). It’s from Sean and Catherine’s collection!
Brittany says
Hi Shay! What frames did you use for your kids’ artwork? I love all of the different sizes and have plans to do something similar with my kids’ art this summer.
Mix and Match Mama says
Every year, I took them to Hobby Lobby’s custom framing department and had them do it. It’s just a really simple black frame.
