Happy happy FRIDAY, friends!
You guys…

…it’s FATHER’S DAY WEEKEND!
And goodness, I am so grateful for the amazing fathers in my life.
I hope you have a bright and sunny weekend ahead. As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika and sharing all my favorite things from this week.
Cheers to the weekend, y’all!

I shared this on Monday, but I certainly think it’s worth sharing again…

…Beis reached out to me and is offering my readers 15% off their first purchase with code SHULL15!

Our family now has four CARRY ON ROLLERS, two WEEKENDERS and two MINI WEEKENDERS. We are clearly OBSESSED! I have an entire post on these pieces with more info that you can read HERE.
Use code SHULL15 for 15% off your first purchase!

A favorite this week has certainly been being here with Ashby and Mades…

…I have biked and biked and biked.

We enjoyed watching church together on Sunday morning and then after that…

…we headed off to the beach and met up with friends.

We did some grocery shopping at Nantucket Meat & Fish…

…we have walked to the neighborhood pool with friends three different days this week…

I was working at Nantucket’s library one morning this week and laughed to myself when I pulled out my AirPods…

…and they were covered in sand. When you live on an island, sand is everywhere. Even your purse.

Mades went to an art class where they made fairy houses 🙂 .

The three of us spent a lot of time in town…

…and at home watching movies too.

I have seen these RAFFIA PLATFORM SANDALS on so many people, so I bought a pair to try them out…

…and I was really surprised by how much I actually liked them (with MY JEANS and TOP)!

I know there are expensive versions of these, but I bought THIS AMAZON PAIR and they checked all my boxes! Comfy, cute and adjustable…

So cute, right?!

Here they are another day with MY SHORTS and TANK 🙂 .
In other #ootd this week…

Who doesn’t love a set?! I do, I do! I bought mine in BLUE, but it comes in so many other combos.

I really love the fabric of THIS SET.
And to the beach…

…I wore MY LINEN SHORTS and…

…MY SUNGLASSES 🙂 .

This though was my favorite find of the week…

…how cute is THIS DRESS?! I was so so pleased with it when it arrived!

THIS DRESS comes in so many other color combos too! I wore it with MY WEDGES to…

…an event in McKinney last Friday night 🙂 .

Yesterday, the boys arrived for the weekend which made my heart oh so happy. This whiplash start to our summer is about to come to an end (I see the light!), but honestly, it has brought so many little blessings along the way too.
I have had the SWEETEST week with just Ashby and Mades on Nantucket. I have never watched more soccer in my life. Ashby has always watched a lot of soccer, but thanks to the World Cup, I’ve been watching it too. It has been a wonderful opportunity to pull out the map on my phone and show the girls all sorts of countries they were unfamiliar with until these matches.
We have also watched…

…David on Netflix on repeat. This is SO cute! I can’t recommend this one enough!
Every night this week, I have introduced my littlest to some of my favorite “girly movies”. We have watched…

…The Devil Wears Prada (and now, we need to see the second one!) as well as…

…27 Dresses (adorable!) and…

…How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. They laughed the most during this one.
If you have other romcom recs for us, we’ll take them! It has just been so fun to take our showers and cuddle up with a fun movie. They just don’t make ’em like this any more.

Just in time for June, ’tis PEACH SEASON, friends!

From salads…

…to desserts…

…to burgers and more! It’s my PERFECTLY PEACHY RECIPES!
I hope you find something super yummy to make this weekend 🙂 .
Okay, I hope you all have the BEST Friday!
I’ll be back here tomorrow with more Saturday fun!
See you then! xx

It looks as if you’ve had another week recognizing and making each day a good one!
An idea for a post – how you do that with the parts of life you really find hard or do not enjoy at all naturally. I don’t mean the major hard life events, but more the things in life that come regularly, certain days with a hard/boring/frustrating long feel to them. Give us some tips! 😁
Mix and Match Mama says
I love this idea! Writing this down!
Nicole says
I love a dose of light and happy every morning. My daughter and I love to watch Girls just want to have Fun with Sarah Jessica Parker, Can’t by me love, Sweet Home Alabama and never been kissed. I hope you enjoy your weekend 😊
Mix and Match Mama says
Well, I haven’t thought about that one since I was like 10! Great rec!
Elspeth Mizner says

What an amazing week you’ve had!!!! In regards to rom coms- have they watched She’s the Man yet with Amanda Bynes? My girls have been OBSESSED. So hilarious/ and has some soccer in it too 😉
Mix and Match Mama says

Heather Stansell says
Me and my girls like to watch romcoms too. Not really much romcom, but we watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants last Friday for family movie night. So good!! I think yall would like it!
Mix and Match Mama says
I haven’t thought about that movie in YEARS!! Thank you, thank you!
Kim Bacon says
So fun 😊 If they haven’t seen it, My Best Friends Wedding would be fun to watch!
I’ve always wondered if there are churches in Nantucket. You’ve mentioned watching church many times. I’d love to hear that story – did you try some out and not feel comfortable? Hope you have a great weekend!
Mix and Match Mama says
There are churches on Nantucket and one of these days, when we get to stay even longer, we will absolutely find one. In the meantime, it helps us feel/stay connected to watch our home church each week online.
Ellen says
I was curious about this, too!
Online Mass has allowed me to occasionally check in with a church from my past. But … true confession … I don’t concentrate as well. That feels terrible to admit, LOL!
Is Nantucket pretty Catholic? For some reason, I’m envisioning maybe one Catholic church and one Presbyterian church. I doubt they have anything like your Texas church.
Mix and Match Mama says
There is actually a little variety here!
Paula Hobbs says
Sounds like a pretty perfect week to me! Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! I hope you guys have a great weekend!
ALI says
HI SHAY! I’M ALWAYS SO CURIOUS ABOUT THE BEACH ON NANTUCKET. I KNOW YOU SAID THERE ARE SEVERAL AND IT’S STILL EARLY IN THE SEASON, BUT IT OFTEN LOOKS LIKE THERE AREN’T THAT MANY PEOPLE. I KNOW NANTUCKET GETS VERY BUSY BUT IS THERE JUST ENOUGH SPACE FOR EVERYONE? OUR BEACHES IN NEW JERSEY ARE ALMOST ALWAYS LIKE THE SCENE IN SUMMER RENTAL WITH JOHN CANDY!
Mix and Match Mama says
I would personally say that, with a few exceptions, beaches don’t ever look like that, ha! Right now, I would say that it’s a bit too early (they’re way more crowded in July and August). There are a few beaches that get super crowded over the weekends (we avoid those beaches on those days), but for the most part, there are plenty of beaches and space and it’s not super hard to find ones that feel less crowded/even remote.
Julia says
Can you link your gold bracelet that you are wearing in the blue and white strip set? I love it! 🥰
Mix and Match Mama says
That’s my Cartier bracelet I got for my anniversary 🙂
Caitlyn Blalock says
13 going on 30 is still one of my favorite chick flicks of all time! Happy Summer Shay!!

Have you seen Bend It Like Beckham? Cute movie with soccer 😀
Mix and Match Mama says
I’ve never seen this! Thank YOU!
Laura says
Ah what a good one!!!
Kelly Bonner says
My rom com recommendations are:
Father of The Bride 1 & 2
Runaway Bride
Sweet Home Alabama
My Best Friends Wedding
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank YOU!
Christine says
Why did Kensington stay back home? Is she with your parents? You must miss her!
Mix and Match Mama says
Well, of course I do! She went ahead and took a class over the summer instead of taking it her senior year. Today is the last day! She’s been home with Andrew and Smith, and the three of them have had a fun time too!
Debbie Turner says
Hope Floats and the Proposal are always a go to!!
Mix and Match Mama says
I forgot about Hope Floats!!! Thank YOU!
Katie Compton says
A great movie to watch with your girls is Now and Then from the 90s! I recently saw it mentioned it a reel and now I can’t stop thinking about it. It was a fave of mine!
Also, if you haven’t read Annabelle Monaghan’s newest book Dolly All The Time add it to your list. I just finished it and it was so cute!! I loved it.
Happy Friday! Heading to The Mumford and Sons concert with my family tonight and it’s going to be a beautiful evening for live music here in VA!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh my gosh, I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT NOW AND THEN! That one is so cute! I used to watch it all the time when I was in middle school/early high school.
Maggie says
Bend It Like Beckham is another super cute, soccer-related romcom!
Mix and Match Mama says
I have never seen this one!
Susan P Fitzpatrick says
Thanks for sharing that cute Amazon set. Outfits like that make getting dressed so easy! I love that dress too. Looks much more expensive than it is. Now that my Spurs have lost we are watching more soccer too!
Karyn says
I’m sure you’ve watched this one, but Fever Pitch is one of my favorite rom-coms…and about a fun baseball team if I remember correctly. 😏
Mix and Match Mama says
MINE TOO, MINE TOO!
sandi says
My favorite rom com ever is While You Were Sleeping. Other notable ones my girls and I like are My Best Friend’s Wedding, Just Like Heaven, You’ve Got Mail, Notting Hill, Monster In Law. Goodness, they really don’t make movies like they used to.
Mix and Match Mama says
So many good recs that I forgot about! While You Were Sleeping is so so cute!
Erika Slaughter says
What are the odds you were having a girly week when at my house it was just me and my boys?! We were living VERY different lives this week!
Mix and Match Mama says
Bahahaha!
Rebecca says
My 22 yo daughter & I watch classic rom coms in the summers too! Your list & these suggested in the above comments are the best, but I’ll add Bride Wars, & Adventures in babysitting (from the ‘80s, it’s just fun!). I know I’m forgetting a couple, but my brain isn’t awake yet😉. If you really want something silly & fun, watch Back to the Beach w/ Frankie & Annette! I loved that movie as a preteen, when it was released!
I love all these Nantucket summer content, thanks so much for sharing, it’s so lovely!
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank YOU so much for the recs!!
Debra says
It looks like such an amazing time with Ashby and Madely.
I love the new sandals – so cute!
Bren says
We love to watch The Proposal and the other day I remembered Runaway Bride, I hadn’t seen that one in so long! Happy summer weekend, Shay!
Mix and Match Mama says
Great recs!!!
Josie says
Have they seen dirty dancing? And will K be able to join you there this summer? I don’t think she’s been there yet? (Or maybe I missed it.)
Mix and Match Mama says
She (and a lot of her friends) took summer school this summer to get their government/econ out of the way senior year…today is the last day of that 🙂 . Woohoo!
Steph says
Happy Friday Shay! I’ve always wondered how the full-time workforce on Nantucket (teachers, fire fighters, police officers, nurses, etc.) can afford to live on the island. I can’t see those occupations being able to afford the avg $2M home. Just curious. We vacation on Hilton Head Island and this issue is the same there however, it’s logistically easier to commute from other towns that are less expensive to live in. Have a great weekend!
Mix and Match Mama says
It is a HUGE issue. It is constantly a topic of conversation in the paper here. Commuting happens a little bit during the high season. Some restaurant workers/construction/etc are able to come in for the day…but year around housing is a really big issue. So many of the nurses that work with us at our little business move constantly in and out of hospital housing. A lot of businesses here (hotels, restaurants, etc) also provide housing. It’s a big issue.
Amy Owens says
Have they seen Father of the Bride 1 and 2? I just love those! What about Gilmore Girls? That show just makes me happy!
Mix and Match Mama says
I don’t think they’ve seen Father of the Bride 2! Thank YOU!
Angie says
We just watched The Other Sister with my 19 year old, and we all said the same exact thing as you – they definitely don’t make them like they used to! Love these movie recs.
Anne says
I recommend the movie Solo Mio.
Taylor K says
They might like What a Girl Wants with Amanda Bynes. Most of the movie takes place in London! 🙂
Patty Anderson says
Sleepless in Seattle!
SS says
You have had some good recs…. I would add Enchanted with Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams, Ella Enchanted with Anne Hathaway, of course Princess Diaries, Miss Congeniality, just like Heaven, Kate & Leopold, Sleepless in Seattle, Never Been Kissed. Maybe a little too old but Pretty Woman and The Bodyguard. There are just so many good ones…
The Intern, Dave, not rom comes but good ones.
Mix and Match Mama says
So many great recs!! Thank you, friend!
Samantha A Campbell says
You need to do a John Hughes film fest! Also, Sleepless In Seattle, You’ve Got Mail, Money Pit and pretty much any early Tom Hanks movies. When my son was younger, we would watch all the Harry Potter movies in order every summer.
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh Money Pit! That one is hysterical! Thank YOU!
M- says
Not a Rom-Com, but Little Lord Fauntleroy is a sweet old movie!!
Mix and Match Mama says
I am unfamiliar with that one! Thank YOU for the rec!
Rita Connors says
Maid in Manhattan
The Wedding Planner
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes, yes! They haven’t seen either!!
Kacey says
I love the rom-com movie nights!! How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is probably the movie I quote the most. It’s SO good! So many other great recs above. I have to add 50 First Dates and She’s the Man. Happy watching!
Leslie S says
My girls love watching Patent Trap every summer! It’s a tradition ant this point. Also recommend Holiday in the Wild on Netflix with Rob Lowe. Old Frankie and Annette movies. Old Doris Day movies. How To Marry A Millionaire. 2 Weeks Notice. The Lost City with Sandra Bullock.
Also we bought the ice pack you recommended and it is 100% great for wisdom teeth removal — THANK YOU for the rec!!
Jen says
My daughter and I LOVED watching 13 Going on 30!! Such a sweet movie.
