It’s FRIDAY!
Last night, we stayed up way too late watching…

…the first McKinney Boyd football game of the season (this pic is from yesterday’s pep rally), and tonight, we have Lovejoy’s first game.
We are SO happy that it’s officially football season for the Shulls!
Between football and the PSL coming out, this week has made my fall loving self oh so happy.
Just like every week, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika and sharing my favorite things.
I hope you have had a wonderful week too!
Cheers to the weekend! xx

Right now, HAIR, HAIR, HAIR seems to be the #1 topic in my DMs.
I’ve been telling you ladies this now for about three years, but my very favorite hair combination is:
NUTRAFOL + QUENCH & SHINE HAIR DUO!
And I realized…

…there are promos for BOTH!
You can get BOTH my favorite shampoo and conditioner together in a duo for 20% off right now!
Once I switched to THIS DUO, I have not looked back. My mom and three girls all use it too. I’m telling you, I’ve never loved a shampoo and conditioner more. The few times I’ve forgotten it on a trip and had to use something else, I’ve instantly regretted it.
I use it along with the SMOOTH & SHINE SERUM. I apply just a bit of the SERUM to my hair before I use heat and/or on second day hair for a bit of a refresh.
Because Colleen Rothschild always is great at partnering with me, my code SHAY20 will always get you 20% off site wide on products that are not bundled. So, you can save 20% with my code on the SERUM today too!

And BIG news on the Nutrafol front, as of yesterday, the formula previously known as the Vegan Formula (the one I’ve been taking for 3+ years) is now NUTRAFOL WOMEN.

Here’s what they said: This formula was previously known as our Vegan Formula, and it delivered our strongest clinical results yet, 100% of women reported improved hair strength and scalp coverage. Because of that, we’ve made it our sole formula for women 18-44. It’s also biotin-free and has smaller pills, which people love!
Right now, save 20% on a monthly delivery or 25% on a three or six month delivery!
Truly, truly, truly, TRULY, Nutrafol has changed my hair.
Whether you try the updated NUTRAFOL WOMEN or one of the others (they have options for POSTPARTUM, WOMEN 45+, and MEN too), save 20 or 25% now!

I saw this on Pinterest…

…and it made me laugh. And it made me head to Target. Sigh.
I went on Wednesday morning, and it was oh so quiet in my store AND it was all so fall.
My heart was very full.
Should you need to head there too, here are a few things I saw…

Adorable.

They had so many cozy blankets…

…and so much pumpkin goodness too.

One of these concrete pumpkins came home with me…

…see? So much to love!

I came home with some chargers and cloth napkins…

…one candle and a little concrete pumpkin.
Even though I haven’t decorated for fall yet…

…I started “burning” my candle in my office (using my awesome CANDLE WARMER!) and…

…I added my concrete pumpkin into the mix. No one has noticed yet, but it makes me smile when I walk by.
Also…

…I bought the CUTEST and SOFTEST PAJAMAS!! I tell you all the time (all.the.time) that Target is my favorite place to get pjs.
These pjs come in several different Halloween prints, and I bought the dogs dressed in costumes. They are crazy soft and such a good deal.
I also came home with…

…THESE CLOGS 🙂 . This is the “dupe” version of the ones my girls wear all the time. I really just want them to wear in the mornings when I’m going to and from yoga and want my feet to stay cozy and oh my word, I’m in love.

I bought the sherpa lined ones, but they come in lots of other styles HERE.

To quote my grandmother, “I’m tickled” with my new shoes 😉 .
I tried on the pjs above so you could see them (I’ll wait and start wearing them after September 1st), but when I put on…

…THESE PAJAMA PANTS for the pic, I left them on all day. I had been wearing some Boyd Bronco gear, but I decided these were too comfy not to keep wearing. For a size reference, I bought both in xs. Online it calls these pants “sweater knit”, but I am LEGIT WEARING THEM AS I TYPE THIS SENTENCE, and they’re like a really really soft fleece.

Just so cute. They also come in another print too!
Agh, it just makes me all so happy! You can check out all the HALLOWEEN PJS FOR THE FAMILY and get happy too 🙂 .

In June, I told you ladies that I listened to…

…Acquired’s latest podcast episode on Disney. I love that podcast, and I LOVED that episode.
Acquired really only puts out *maybe* one new episode every six weeks or so, so imagine my delight when their next episode (which dropped August 9th) was…

…a SECOND episode about Disney!
You guys, this one *might* even be better than the first one because where the first episode focuses on Walt Disney and how the company was formed (his life, animation, early movies, Disneyland, etc), this episode focuses on the Disney I grew up with (and my guess is that many of you did too). This starts us off with the decline of Disney and how they needed to boost animation…thus, The Little Mermaid. They continue to tell Disney’s story after Walt’s passing through the ups and downs of the company and the “re-invention” of their animated movies, Pixar, ESPN, the cruise line, etc…I ate it up.
Whether you are a Disney person (like me!) or an Acquired person (like me!), I highly recommend both of these episodes.

A few #ootd from this last week…

TEE (comes in other colors!) + SHORTS + SLIPPERS

I wore THIS DRESS to a birthday lunch on Tuesday! I loved the pockets and how comfy it was. I wore it with THESE SANDALS.

I’m clearly in my dress era this week because…

…on Wednesday, I wore THIS DRESS…

…and THESE SNEAKERS. They come in seven different “fall” colors, and I decided to get ivory to keep mine neutral.
And I shared this on a post last week…

…when I shared different outfits for travel…

…and bought both the SNEAKERS and THE JUMPSUIT for upcoming flights 🙂 .
I wore the jumpsuit all day Monday, and it was oh so comfy and cute!

And finally…

…should your weekend or back to school season need a buttery and delicious and SIMPLE bar that tastes like a giant peanut butter oatmeal cookie, you need to hop over and check out my PEANUT BUTTER CRUMB BARS! These are crazy easy and oh so delish!
Happy Friday, friends!
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL start to your weekend. I will see you back here on Sunday. In the meantime, GO LEOPARDS! xx

Happy Friday Shay! I just saw your sweet comment response to my question the other day! Thank you so much! I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend!
Sheaffer says
Awwww! My grandmother said “tickled” too, and so did my mom and dad, so now it’s a regular part of my vocabulary too! 🙂

Happy Friday. Woo hoo!
I loved the Acquired Podcast episode on HOKA. Really interesting.
I keep trying to get a look at your book stack by your chair in your office. I must know. 🙂 I am obsessed with books and reading. I love knowing what is on people’s stack.
Have a great day.

That’s one I haven’t listened to yet. I will! I have a German cookbook (I love German food), the book Evergreen (one I read throughout the year) and then four other books I’m reading or re-reading a bit each morning.
Shelby says
I love your hair. Do you use anything to get the bump in the back or is it natural? Enjoy Friday Night Lights.
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh that’s my claw clip, ha! My three girls allllllll wear claw clips, and I’ve started using them when I work instead of a rubber band to pull my hair out of my face. I like to work with my hair pulled back (since I’m on the computer all day). I just had one of our random claw clips in!
Jen says
Woo hoo! Football season feels like the kick off to my favorite part of the year!! Since hair is the theme of your DMs right now – can you share your hair color routine? We have similar coloring and I’m curious what to ask my stylist for and what kind of “maintenance” to expect?
Mix and Match Mama says
I did a post on this in March! You can read it here: https://mixandmatchmama.com/2026/03/blonde-to-brunette/
I don’t give her any direction, she just gets in there and does her thing. It was a long process. I go in every 5ish weeks to get it touched up and trimmed.

Good Luck to the Shull’s this season….hope it is fun and safe for all!!!
Fun Fact….my Uncle was a background singer in some of the 90s Disney movies. He & my Aunt loved in NY at the time and we would ask him on their yearly visit,..any movies this year? He sang at our wedding as our gift. He has a beautiful Baritone voice! So I can pick him out when I hear it!
Happy FriYay!
Mix and Match Mama says
Wow! That is such a fun fact!!

Love your posts and ill be making the bars for a dinner this weekend!! They look so simple and yummy!

I may have solved the composition notebook mystery last night! Like you, I couldn’t understand why those are always on my kids’ school supply list. Last night we had back to school night at the middle school, and the ELA teacher was very adamant that parents get their kids composition notebooks and not spiral notebooks. They leave them in his class, stacked on a bookshelf. He said the composition notebooks stack very nicely but the spiral notebooks do not stack so well and they start falling off the shelves. This is our 3rd year in middle school and the first time anyone has explained the reasoning. 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
Well that’s a solid reason!

Happy Friday! How exciting and fun you guys are in full swing football season over there. I cant imagine how awesome it must be to be a football parent in Texas! haha. In Ohio football season is of course a thing, but its pretty low key. I LOVE those birkenstocks. I have kid sized feet and looks like they are sold out of the fur lined ones everywhere. ugh! Heading to Target for those jammies today though! Was just thinking…will we be seeing any Nantucket content this fall? Maybe a new house sneak peak?! Just curious!
Mix and Match Mama says
With a house under construction, I don’t know that we’ll get any new Nantucket content for a while. Now we’re spoiled, so it’s hard to visit without a house to stay in. I’m sure we’ll go up there a few times, but we won’t be making it each month like we *try* to do other years.
Faith says
I haven’t looked in target for the PJs, but I know Walmart had some really soft cute fall ones. I will have to look at the next time I go. who would’ve thought I would be wearing “cute” pajamas at 53 years old.
Faith Kapp says
By the way, I FINALLY bought the duo this morning. I am out of shampoo and have been wanting to try something new.
Mix and Match Mama says
You are going to LOVE it!
Erika Slaughter says
I’m LOVING all your fall-ish-but-still-hot-in-Texas dresses! SO cute!

Hi!! Would you mind sharing what yoga studios in the McKinney area you love? I am new to the area and love hot yoga!
Mix and Match Mama says
Of course! Email me, and I’d be more than happy to share! mixandmatchmama@yahoo.com

I bought some Rothy’s sneakers recently and they are so cute and comfy! They come with an alternate set of laces that are polka dot that I love. Love those Halloween jammies and clogs. I was at Target today and didn’t have time to make it to the clothes. Looks like I’ll have to go back 🙂
Marybeth says
I’m going to have to check out those clogs. They would be perfect to wear to and from the studio for my barre classes!
I was shopping with a friend last night and I bought the cutest orange gingham tea towels with a white pumpkin appliquéd on them. Did I need them? Absolutely not! I have soooo many fall things. But they were too cute to pass up!

Good morning! Silent follower over here for 10+ years! Today is my day to comment, LOL. Can you share the link to your sandal wedges, or are they older? Thanks!!
