Happy What’s Up Wednesday!
Looky there, we have a new graphic!
Sheaffer texted it to me this week and said “we have a new graphic” and I said “perfect” and that’s how two “senior” bloggers roll all these years later 😉 .
Alrighty…yay, yay, yay, it’s the last Wednesday in August!
Per usual, Sheaffer and I host this little linky party where we share what’s going on with us right now. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.

On Sunday…
…we made CHEESY RANCH TACOS because we always make these on Sunday nights (it just simplifies the end of the weekend!).
On Monday night, I had a Student Council parent meeting, so while I was at that, Kensington’s other parent made us spaghetti. Last night, we grilled steaks with sweet potato fries, and then tonight, I decided to make MEATLOAF (which is on this week’s MEAL PLANNING MONDAY!).

…I’m thinking a lot about how this baby is a SENIOR in high school.

I’m thinking about how this feels like just yesterday.
The days are long…but the years are oh so short.
The Shull girls are currently all loving…

We checked off all the scrimmages last week (this photo is from Lovejoy’s final scrimmage from Thursday), and tomorrow, FOOTBALL SEASON OFFICIALLY BEGINS!
Tomorrow, we have our first pep rally and then our first McKinney Boyd game. Then on Friday, we have our first Lovejoy game of the season too.
The Shull family is SO READY for some football season fun!

…The Story Keeper by Kelly Rimmer.
I am so so so excited about this book! Just a little reminder that her book The Things We Cannot Say was MY FAVORITE BOOK OF 2019, A-N-D her book, The Paris Agent, was my FAVORITE BOOK OF 2023! She’s the only author that has ever received my #1 spot more than once. I hope you’ll read this one with me! We’ll discuss it on September 22nd.
I just snapped this pic for you. My house is so quiet now that they’re all back in school. I’m listening to the dryer going out in the hallway along with Steve Tyrell Radio on Pandora coming through my speakers. It’s just peaceful and quiet right now.
I started out this month on Nantucket in full summer mode and am wrapping up this month dreaming of fall. I have been wearing quite the variety…
THIS SKIRT was a summertime fave! It is so soft and like wearing a pair of sweatpants or shorts…but it’s a skirt. It comes in SO MANY other colors too!
Every time I wear THESE SHORTS, I get compliments! They are just the cutest athletic shorts!

I can’t quit THIS T-SHIRT DRESS! I have been wearing it both in stripes…

We do not have any big plans this weekend. I think we’ll be pretty lazy on Saturday (recovering from back to back football games on Thursday and Friday) plus church on Sunday. It honestly sounds pretty nice 🙂 .
SEPTEMBER IS MY FAVORITE MONTH OF THE YEAR!!!
I am excited about everything.

Can’t believe how hott it is there still! I’m in Ohio and we are already in the 50s and 60s at night and in the mornings! low 70s during the day. I’m sure we will get another heat wave, but we definitely have that fall chill in the air. I’m not ready for it!

How cute are Made’s pajamas??! Definitely going to have to head over there to see what they have. Texas really does not play nice with those temps during back to school and football season, does it!? I’m not even from Texas and I so support your school should start later in the month wish. Hope that the weather will show you some mercy soon!

I can’t wait for fall to begin! It’s started to get cooler here. Thank goodness! Now, if only I could put a sweater on… have to wait a bit longer for that. But, I’m getting my fall decor out this weekend. It’s time!

September is about to be my new fav month too!
Getting married on September 12 in SW Minnesota! Everything is falling into place (even though I have 783 tabs open in my brain, ha!)

I have shared it many many times before (and I will share it again on September 1st!), but I’ve always loved September because it’s the beginning of alllllllll the good things. It’s the beginning of fall, football, cooler weather, foliage, pumpkins, back to school, Halloween is around the corner and Christmas is arriving before we know it. I just think it’s the most optimistic, happiest, full of hope month on the calendar 🙂 .
