Happy FRIDAY, friends!
I don’t know about you, but I am R-E-A-D-Y for a big October weekend.
Heads up, I will not be posting tomorrow. As much as I truly do love being here with you on Saturdays, I am going to put into practice all of those books I read on time management and actually manage my time better today.
It’s been a fun week of celebrating Madeley’s 12th birthday, we’ve already been to not one but TWO different football games (and then a third one tonight!), and well, this morning, I am going to a celebration of life service and quite frankly, I just want to keep my focus on that sweet family instead of getting a blog post up tomorrow.
I will be back here with you all on Monday.
Thank you so much for joining me here every day. I am truly so grateful.
As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika and sharing this week’s favorite things.
If you missed any of this week’s blog posts, you might want to go back and check them out. I shared our FALL BREAK IN DISNEY RECAP as well as MY BEST TIPS FOR RETURNING FROM TRAVEL {WITH EASE}, several FALL RECIPES, and much more.
Sending you so much love on this Friday morning. xx

We had a sweet week celebrating…

For a Monday birthday, I thought Mades got super spoiled. I did the birthday breakfast thing early that morning with her and then took her to school. Andrew went to school and had lunch with her, Kensington picked her up after school and treated her to Swig, my mom stopped by with gifts, Tab and Britt stopped by with gifts, her speech therapist and her daughter stopped by with gifts, and Kensington’s boyfriend stopped by with flowers. It was a revolving door of people popping in to celebrate Madeley James. We had dinner on the patio as a family of six and enjoyed birthday cake…

…it was a very full birthday Monday 🙂 .

Tops, tops, tops!
Look at these cute tops…

…if you’ve been here a bit, then you know my heart belongs to a worn and washed flannel around the fall and holiday season. How cute is THIS ONE?!
It comes in seven different prints, but I bought this one to wear this holiday season…

It’s super soft and currently on sale too!
I also bought…

…this HENLEY SWEATSHIRT. Love! I tried it on for you here, but it’s going to be so easy to throw on not just with jeans but my leggings too. It comes in 8 different colors, but my heart belongs to green 🙂 . It’s also on sale!
And when I tried…

…THIS FLEECE on on Wednesday, I just kept it on and wore this all day long. It was cozy, cute, and when I was getting my vitals taken at a doctors appointment that afternoon, she said “I looked very fall”. That is the ultimate Fall Girl compliment 🙂 .

Hip, hip, hooray…

…COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD GIFT SETS ARE WRAPPED, READY, AND 25% OFF!

THESE GIFT SETS are not only great gifts, but they are EXCELLENT ways to try Colleen Rothschild products for the first time.
I buy them often to use when I travel too…

…right now, they have 7 different sets 25% off including THE HAIR RENEWAL EDIT…

…and THE BODY CARE EDIT!
Don’t forget, because I partner with Colleen Rothschild, you can also always use my code SHAY20 for 20% off individual items too sitewide 🙂 .
‘Tis almost the season, friends!

Speaking of “the season”, yesterday, my Bible study wrapped up…

…our study of Esther. We have spent this fall studying it together, and it was SO SO GOOD! I highly recommend.
Since I knew this study would be coming to an end, earlier this week, I ordered…

…my Advent study for the year too. I try and do an Advent study each Christmas season. This one is unique because there is also a version for men too. If you’re looking for a new Advent study, this will be the one I do this holiday season.

Alllllllll the football is always a fave.
This week was especially wild because…

…when we went to watch Bowen play in the middle school game, it was the Lovejoy middle school (where he and Ashby both attend) versus the middle school they “should” go to (where they went in the 6th grade and where the big kids went) at McKinney Boyd High School.

For the first time ever, we showed up to the Bronco football field in Leopards gear and sat on the visitor side. We know so many people at both schools that it was an extra special game. At one point, Andrew leaned over and said “I know the words to all of these (Dowell Middle School) cheers”. Ha! Me too! Weren’t we just here…

Yup. We sure were. Feels like just yesterday.
These years sure are flying by.

On Sunday, I wore THIS DRESS with MY BOOTIES to church…

…it had stretch, it was comfy, and the pattern was oh so fall.
Speaking of which, if you missed this #ootd…

…from last week, it’s a great one too!
SUPER LIGHT TURTLENECK + THESE KICK FLARE PULL ON PANTS + MY FAUX SUEDE JACKET + MY MULES

This turtleneck is super lightweight and comes in 14 different colors! Easy, easy for a day of errands and work!

And of course, it wouldn’t be October without…

…my annual Spooktacular Savory & Sweet Pumpkin Recipes!
I love adding pumpkin to both savory or sweet, and today’s post has 56 pumpkin recipes in it!
I have breads, muffins, scones, breakfast casseroles, desserts, pies, pastas, a pot pie, a delicious chili recipe…SO MUCH PUMPKIN! It’s absolutely one of my favorite blog posts each year because I just adore pumpkin in the fall.
I found this pic earlier this week…

…and thought it was the perfect way to wrap up our week.
Thank you so much for being here with me today. I hope you have a WONDERFUL October weekend! xx
