Ashby’s Frozen Swim Party


On Friday morning, we hosted Ashby’s Frozen Swim Party!
Ashby picked the theme for this party about a year ago.  She wanted a swim party for her 6th birthday, she wanted it to be all about Frozen and she wanted pizza.  How could I deny her such a day?!
Ashby’s actual birthday isn’t until June 9, but because the big kids go to school until the 7th this year (boohoo!), I decided to host her birthday a little early so that it was all about the littles with no big kids splashing and getting in the way.  It was the PERFECT way to kick off our June!
Six.  How is she already six years old?!  Time is fllllllllying by!
My sweet friend Amy made her the perfect sign for her swim party 🙂 .  I ordered pizza for the kids, but had “grown up” food for the mamas.  (Although, pizza is never a bad idea in my opinion!)
Give us all the Anna and Elsa this year 🙂 .
Ashby’s friends started arriving and it was PARTY time!

Ashby requested one of the Elsa cupcakes, but my sweet friend Emily made so many other cute ones too…

It was a HUGE success!
On Ashby’s actual birthday, she wants to eat hibachi with our family…so party 2.0 coming up on the 9th!
This girl is such a ray of sunshine for our family.  We love, love, love being able to celebrate her every June.  She had the most fun swimming with her friends.  I still cannot believe that she’s six. xo

      I did! I gave each family one of those “bunch o balloons” sets. My kids are obsessed with ours!

    Did the big kids give you a hard time about missing the party?? We have started to try and do we hints with just the littles but man do the big kids put up a fuss!!!

      Neither of them invited her this year..so they didn’t have much room to fuss 😉 . We’ll all celebrate on her actual birthday together though!

    I can’t believe you have celebrated 4 birthdays with her already! I feel like I was just reading about your China trip last week!! Time does seem to go by quickly but I have enjoyed all of the adventures of miss Ashby including her big smile getting even bigger!

    Kind of an odd question, but what is the style of brick you have on your house? We are about to start building a house this month and I absolutely love your brick!! ?

      The brick is pretty basic, what you see is that we had the “smear the mortar” that’s a technique. They can do it to your house too!

    (On another note, you have me hooked on Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads for the body. But It seems the ones you recommended are no longer available and what is available is the DDG ABGP “Self-Tanner for Body” in “Intense Glow”. Do you know if this is the same product with new labeling or is it different?)
