Every year, one of our very favorite Thanksgiving traditions is watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade while enjoying a yummy breakfast. I always like to share a menu for your family to enjoy while watching too (The Rockettes just NEVER get old on Turkey Day!). We light the fire, turn on the parade, and eat a delicious breakfast in our pajamas. It is ALWAYS one of my favorite parts about Thanksgiving Day!
Here’s a menu designed to be easy (because you’re already making Thanksgiving food, you don’t need to be making even more recipes!), yummy, and prepped in advance. Enjoy! xo
Pumpkin Hot Chocolate in the Slow Cooker could not be easier! Add everything in, stir and enjoy!
If you’re looking for just a little bite, my Cheesy Egg & Bacon Bites are what you need to make. You can actually make these the night before and then just pop them in the oven the morning of.
Looking for something a little heartier? Try this…
…my Sausage Cheddar Breakfast Casserole or…
… my Ham & Swiss Croissant Casserole (this is what we’re having this year!!) You can assemble both the day before and just wait until Thanksgiving morning to bake.
For something sweet try my Butterscotch Cinnamon French Toast Bake! All my favorite flavors in one yummy breakfast casserole…and again, you can make it in advance too!
And I always think of these on cold mornings…
…Pecan Streusel Cinnamon Rolls 🙂 .
And my mother-in-law now insists that I make my Maple Sausage Balls with each visit too. Guys, these are little bites of HEAVEN!!
A little savory, a little sweet, all yummy to eat!
Happy Friday!! See you guys on Monday!

I make the sausage balls without cream cheese just a little milk Do you think if I added maple syrup in my recipe that would work just as well? Not a fan of cream cheese even though I know you cant really taste it.

Hi I am going to make your Oreo balls as a desert for the kids at thanksgiving! We love them! It’s a nice alternative to pie. Well to be fair we have that too…?. I saw in the recipe you said you could also make them with other cookies and other types of chocolate. I am going to make one batch of the original but I think I want to make another batch with Milano Cookies. What kind of chocolate would you use for those? Thanks so much shay!
Mix and Match Mama says
I would use dark chocolate and add a little peppermint extract 🙂 .

Your maple sausage balls are great. Just FYI, the Isle of Paradise tanning drops are on QVC today, 2 bottles for 29.50.

No way?!?!?!

Hey shay when do you shop for thanksgiving? How many days before? always try and go two days before so food is fresh but it’s still so crowded. Do you do a separate trip or just Get everything at your normal shopping trip for the week.
Mix and Match Mama says
I’m actually typing this from the Starbucks inside my grocery store! Ha! I shopped on Thursday and then am about to shop again right now for Thanksgiving.
