It’s Episode 4 of our podcast THE BESTIE BREAKDOWN!

I feel like I need a million disclaimers before you listen to today’s episode.  First, I’m so sorry that the music was too loud/distracting/annoying last time.  We heard you loud and clear and today it’s toned down.  I know I say this all the time, but this whole podcast thing is COMPLETELY out of our wheelhouse, so it might take us an episode or two (or 45) to get it right.  Thank you for being patient as we learn!  Also, there were repeat problems with you guys not being able to find our podcast on iTunes/whatever platform you like but (and that’s a big but), it should be worked out now.  You can always listen right here on our sites (below!) if you can’t find it on your favorite platform, but we located the snag last time, and it should be corrected.  Whew!

On today’s episode, Erika asked her readers questions for us, so it’s a little Q&A session!  We answer all sorts of random things from you guys, so sit back, sip your coffee and take a listen 🙂 .

    So fun! That Legally Blonde movie would be super cute if they updated it to be our age. The older I get, the more I love watching movies marketed to our age group!

    Also, I ended up getting an Apple Watch and absolutely love it!!! I didn’t really know if I would, but you’re right-it really does make me move way more than I was. And now I don’t miss calls or urgent texts because my ringer is off and my phone is in another room. Thanks for the recommendation! (And I turned the always on feature off and don’t have any battery problems as long as I charge it every night.)

    I love your podcasts! Keep them coming! Also random question you mentioned the step counter on the Apple Watch- are you able to get your steps to display on the face of the watch?

    Read the books….Sheryl Woods is on of my favorite authors and The Sweet Magnolia series is excellent and revolves around 3 women who are life long friends. It is so good. I binged all 10 episodes in series 1 and excellent. They were done by Dan Poulson productions who is one of the best Hallmark Directors plus he has done a lot of other films as well. This series is definitely PG 13 Hallmark type series and read Stealing Home…the book series is excellent and way more detail then the series will get into. Sheryl Woids also wrote a series of book called the Cheseapke shores series which of course is a top rated Hallmark series

    You guys have to watch Sweet Magnolias! It is so so so good! Joanna Garcia Swisher from
    Reba is the main character and I love her. I thinknit takes plce in Georgia and it is very feel good!

    I can’t figure out why these aren’t showing up in my podcast player! The first episode is all that has shown up, and I loved it! I can’t wait to listen to the others, I just need to figure out how to get them in my player. I use Castbox.

      FYI- They aren’t showing in mine either :-(. I use the Podcast app on my iPhone and the only episode I’ve ever seen there is episode 1.

    I enjoyed your podcast today-I listened while on my run, which made my run more enjoyable. 🙂 This past November26 we welcomed our third child. Our oldest is 11 and middle is 8, so we certainly were starting over. While there were things I was nervous about starting over with, the transition has been surprisingly easy. Our older 2 are tremendously helpful and understanding-to a point on both, I mean they are still kiddos-but even though the gap wasn’t my desired plan, the Lord always knows what’s best!

    I love hearing about your mindset and approach with food!!! This might be a dumb question, but how do you not overeat good food?! You said you’d rather have smaller amounts of good food, everything in moderation…that’s my goal! But how do you do it?! Do you ever overeat?!

      I wish I had some amazing advice…I mean, sometimes I totally over eat, but for the most part, no. I think (and I could be TOTALLY wrong here as I’m not a dietician), but because I don’t deny myself anything, I don’t feel the need to over eat. I know this is a huge struggle for so many people, and I wish I had fantastic words of wisdom for you.

    I just started watching Sweet Magnolias! It’s super cute and very much Hallmark-like. I listened to the Podcast. Very fun! Did you ever figure out the title of the book you just read and loved? I would love to know. I’m currently reading “Hello Summer” and already thinking ahead to my next read. 😉

    Started the Sweet Magnolias Season 1 yesterday and have already binged six episodes! It is really good and I like all the characters. It gives me a Hallmark movie kinda vibe, but with a little more character development. Definitely recommend!

    READ THE BOOKS! READ THE BOOKS! READ THE BOOKS! Seriously-you don’t have to do them all on a row. I’ve only read a few. It’s been years I remember loving them.

    And a side note….the box to click to Receive follow up comments must only be on the computer version. I read every morning on my phone while blow drying my hair. You are part of my routine.

      This quarantine isn’t helping matters 😉 ! I would say most weekends…unless I go out with my girlfriends during the week, not during the week.

      I do in moderation and my church is about a relationship with Jesus and not very legalistic.

    Oh my word you two live by that cute European village on the water?!?! I am laughing because my husband and I are in the midst of praying over building our forever home in a warm weather state (long story) and Zach really likes the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and actually, he especially likes McKinney (all the acreage seems to be just north of town?). But we saw this European village styled after Croatia on the water and I said fine we can move but only if I can live RIGHT THERE. Haha. Except I think it’s actually a shopping complex and apartments right? Just set me up on the rooftops. It’s so pretty! Loved listening! Have a great weekend ?
