Well, tomorrow is our first day of school!
What? What?
Yes!
You know me, I love a good tradition, so yesterday, I went grocery shopping for our favorite FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL MENU that I’m sharing with you! We are adding one new recipe to our menu that I haven’t blogged yet, so stay tuned for that, but other than that little breakfast bite, this is everything we’re going to have tomorrow to celebrate the first day of school.
Whether you’re heading back or not, you should totally check out this menu! It’s always a hit!
Maple Sausage Balls are a MUST at our house!! Once you make these, you’ll want to make them again and again!
Another savory breakfast option for your family…my Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Pigs in a Blanket!! These are not gluten-free, so unfortunately, we’ve taken them off the menu this year…but if you can eat gluten, you should make these!
Years and years ago, my kids requested my green pancakes (which we typically make on St. Paddy’s Day!) for their first day of school breakfast and well, it stuck! We now make these every single year on the first day!
If your family isn’t into green pancakes, then you should try my Apple Bacon Pancakes instead! They are AMAZING!!
We always, always have my Butterscotch Maple No Bake Cookies after school on the first day. It’s such a special tradition!!
You can also always make these Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies too or…
...these Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Cookies!
For dinner, our tradition is lasagna 🙂 . You can make either my delicious g-free version or…
…my Provolone Lasagna. Both are winning first day of school recipes!
Do you have back to school recipe traditions? If so, I want to hear about them!! These foods are always such sweet ways to celebrate a new school year.
Happy first day!! xo

Love the peanut butter cookie recipe! I can’t believe it’s only four ingredients and turns out so well. Thanks for sharing!

Our tradition has always been an after-school tea party. I set the table with a tea set and get out all my pretty dishes to make everything look special but the menu is always simple – lemonade, trail mix, mini cupcakes, berries, carrot sticks, etc. I always found that if you put anything on a small, pretty dish kids think it’s special and will eat it with joy. We have done this from kindergarten through to grade 12 and both my boys and girls looked forward to it!
