Oh friends, I’m very thankful it’s Friday!
Tonight, we have the Manda Strong Foundation Gala and then the rest of this weekend, I need to get my life together.
Here’s what’s on tap for me:
1: Kensington’s room needs some help. I bought bins this week, and this weekend, we’re going to sort things out. Between all the sports, cheer, normal clothes, and due to the weather being wonky this week both cold weather and warm weather wear, it’s a disaster.
2: I have a laundry situation of my own that I need to get a handle on.
3: I would like to start 1923…spoiler alert, you guys were all wrong about 1883. Agh! I am bound and determined to love one of these series. Fingers crossed that it’s 1923.
4: Church, meal planning and hopefully, some time on the patio with my favorite guy.
That’s my weekend in a nutshell 🙂 .
Okay read below because I have not one but TWO promo codes for you guys! As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika .
Happy Friday! xx
Oh friends, did you see?
Did you see?
My sweet friend Cassie just launched her latest Coastal Collection with Gibsonlook, and they’ve given my readers a promo code!!
Isn’t she darling?! I love everything that Cassie designs, but my favorite collections are always her warm weather inspired ones.
Right now, my blog readers can get 10% off any piece in her collection with code SHAY10!
I couldn’t wait to wear the jumpsuit. How adorable is this?! I always size down when wearing Gibsonlook, so this is a size xxs. I recommend you sizing down too. This would be so cute for lunch, dinner on the patio, traveling and super comfy on a flight too.
I also really loved…
…this dress here! Isn’t it cute too?! The detail on the waist is my favorite part. Love, love, love! It also comes in a second print as well.
There are so many other pieces in this collection!
Make sure you check the entire collection out HERE and don’t forget to use promo code SHAY10 for 10% off everything!
If you missed the deets from…
…our trip to Nashville last weekend, I’m going to share them again here:
We had the BEST time! It was the perfect town for a girls weekend. Great shopping, delicious food, nice hotels and live music.
I’ve been cracking up at all of the pics from our last night…
…because I told my friends I felt like Beth Dutton, and we could not stop laughing about it. So every time they took a pic…
…my face is like this.
Bahahahahaha! I’m still laughing!
I have talked about Kopari Coconut Melt for YEARS, but if you haven’t tried this TROPICAL version, it’s a must! I love this so much. It’s the exact same hydrating/moisturizing/amazing magic as the original but with a “I’m on vacation” scent. I’m now on my second jar!
Speaking of beauty finds…
…if you didn’t catch my HAIR with HEAT and WITHOUT ROUTINE post yesterday, I have all the hair finds too!
One more fun promo for you before I sign off for this week…
Magic Spoon told me you guys loved the promo code so much last month, they have another one for you today!!
They asked if the promo code could run in my daily email again, so if you’re looking for a code or a free box of their new cereal flavor, you’ll see it in both today’s daily email and also tomorrow’s weekly wrap up email. If you aren’t a current email subscriber, you can sign up HERE and grab that code tomorrow morning when Saturday’s email goes out. You guys, the new flavor sounds INSANELY DELICIOUS!!! All the deets in my newsletter!
Speaking of flavorful…
It’s all about BUFFALO RECIPES TODAY!
From soup…
…to salads…
…wraps and so much more, I’m sharing twelve of my BEST BUFFALO RECIPES for your Friday!
I could legit put Buffalo sauce on E-V-E-R-Y SINGLE THING! You’ll find so many easy and yummy recipes HERE!
One last thing before we go…
..this week would not be complete without me sharing this beautiful lady…
…this Sunday marks six years since my sweet Manda went to be with Jesus. You can read my post from six years ago HERE where I share more about this bestie of mine, but believe me when I say, she has left a legacy, she has left a void, she has forever changed more people than we’ll ever know. Being her friend was such a blessing. It was an honor to know and love Manda Maxwell. We are going to celebrate her life and all of the accomplishments of the Manda Strong Foundation big time tonight at the gala. I miss her every day. xx

Sheaffer says
6 years. Wow. She really did leave such an impact on all who knew her. Heck, I know hundreds (maybe even thousands) of people that didn’t know her watched her coffee house talk and/or her funeral. You couldn’t watch those and not be changed for the better. She will always be remembered and missed.
Rebecca says
Love that you & your friends go on an annual trip together. It’s also a wonderful way to honor Manda! This year will be 6 years that we lost my dad to cancer as well. Happier note: where is your Willie shirt from, I think it’s from your last night.
Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh, I’m so very sorry. I’m really sorry. I bought it at a random store in Southlake, TX.
Kristin Lyngaas says
I loved your post today and keeping it “real”. I’m so sorry about your friend’s passing even though it’s been 6 years. It still hurts the heart. Have a beautiful weekend! ❤️🙏🌻

Hi! Your trip to Nashville looks like so much fun! I just hopped on here to say it’s spring training opening day for your Red Sox today and it takes place right down the street from me. Lots of excitement around here today!! (And traffic 🥴) Have a great weekend and I’ll be praying for you and your friends at the Gala tonight!
Mix and Match Mama says
Awwwwww! That’s so fun!!
JMR says
I wondered what the story was behind all those smoldering looks. I do hate to tell you this, Shay, but if you haven’t liked Yellowstone or 1883, 1923 likely won’t be enjoyable. Very gruesome and I have had to turn away from the gore a number of times . The story, characters and acting are fabulous but very hard to watch.
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh no!!! I was so hoping this would be my show!

Laundry is on my to do list also… never ending. We are going skiing with two of our four kids in a few weeks so I am super excited about that. Bummed that college breaks are different weeks for my other two.
Death is so hard no matter the age, but when it feels like someone was taken (in our minds) too soon and with young kids, it just feels a little more difficult. Thankful for the foundation and the way it is used to serve others.
Deena says
It looks like you all had a great time in Nashville! I lived there for 4 years and loved it! One fun tour if you ever go back is the Nashtrash Tours with the Jugg Sisters. They’re hilarious and kept us laughing the whole time.
I hope the Gala is a big success!
Jeanie says
I remember following the story of Manda and how sad I felt for her children and husband. Can you give an update on them? I always wondered if he found love again. She left a beautiful legacy.
Mix and Match Mama says
He did! Her kids are so much older now. Time has really flown by.
Courtney C says
That’s so funny you mentioned all your Beth Dutton faces. I noticed when I was reading Sheaffer’s Nashville recap that you weren’t smiling in most of the pictures. I’m glad to hear you were just channeling Beth and not NOT enjoying the trip!
Mix and Match Mama says
My clothing made me 100% feel like I was wearing a costume. Bahahaha!
Kristy Moore says
Patio time???!!! Us Canadians won’t even begin to think of that for at least 3 months! LOL I can’t believe it’s been 6 YEARS since your sweet friend Amanda passed. Wow time flies. Looking forward to reading and seeing the pictures from the gala. You and your friends are such special people to honor Amanda in this way. 🙂
Michelle says
Do you watch Yellowstone?
Mix and Match Mama says
I watched the first 3 seasons and half of the fourth. I lost interest in all the drama all the time.
Laura C says
Hi Shay!
I love how you continue to celebrate your sweet friend.
Question, how do you use the coconut melt?
Have a great fun weekend!
Laura
Mix and Match Mama says
I use it just like lotion. After I shower, I apply it all over. There is nothing more hydrating. You can also use it to remove makeup, soothe sunburns…if I were on a deserted island and could only bring one thing, I would bring coconut oil.
Jen says
Sounds like such a fun weekend…love the hat and the Beth Dutton feels!
