You guys, it’s BACK TO SCHOOL WEEK!!!
Oh my gosh, that happened fast! One minute it’s the end of school, the next minute you’re on Nantucket and then before you know, you’re heading back to school.
On Saturday, Kensington had her freshman orientation at her new high school. HIGH SCHOOL. And today, we have “meet the teacher” at both the middle school and elementary school. Yup, we’ve officially entered four kids in three schools.
Today, I’m extra caffeinated, getting extra organized and I’m extra pumped for this new school year.
As always, I’m kicking off BACK TO SCHOOL WEEK with a special edition of our MEAL PLANNING MONDAY. We typically eat the same favorite meals the first week of school. They’re all simple to make and remind the Shull family of the start of a new school year. I really think your family will love this menu too!
From my home to yours, here’s wishing you a wonderful back to school season!!
It wouldn’t be back to school week without Andrea’s Pulled Pork!
I know I share this Simple Sausage, Peppers & Onions recipe all the time, but my kids LOVE it!! I have started doubling the recipe because my people eat so much. Try it this week too!
Every year on the first day of school, we eat lasagna, and this year will be the same! Whether your family needs a gf version like THIS ONE or not, all you have to do is simply substitute the noodles. Easy as that!
My Easy Weeknight Wiener Schnitzel is one of my kids very, very, very favorite dinners!! It’s the perfect meal to kick off back to school!
Finally, wrap up your week with my Sloppy Joe Bowls! They’re one of my family’s favorite meals to kick off the school year!
Need a bonus recipe or two?!
We always make my Maple Sausage Balls on the first day of school for breakfast!! Friends, they’re so good! They can also be made in advance too!
And the first week of school wouldn’t be complete without peanut butter cookies. These four ingredient, super simple Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies need to be on your menu!
Happy first week, friends!! xx

Yay! I was surprised you didn’t mention the heat in your first sentence 😉
I was just telling a friend who was brainstorming new back to school traditions to check out your blog! Thanks for the first day of school inspiration!
Also, thanks for your GF help via email! I have a few GF Trader Joe’s favorites to share now! Brazilian cheese bread, Mahi burgers, and sunflower butter cups were all good if you’re looking for something new to try. And, TJ’s said their fall foods launch THIS week!!
