Happy happy Tuesday afternoon, friends!
It’s time for another BONUS BLOG POST!
Come on in, it’s this week’s TUESDAY TOURS 🙂 .
Today, I’m opening up Ashby and Madeley’s third floor loft and closet and welcoming you inside. If you’d like to see more information/sources/photos and details about Ashby’s room and this closet, you can check it out HERE.
Don’t forget to catch all of the TUESDAY TOURS below:
You asked, so I’m sharing!
Welcome to Ashby and Madeley’s closet…
As always, if there are other “tours” you would like to see (no matter how big or how small!), just leave a comment and let me know! xx

These are so fun! And, like you, I LOVE seeing how other people organize life. Having the winter coats in their closet made me wonder if you have a mud room, or if that’s just a New England thing? If you do have one, definitely casting my vote for a mudroom and/or kids’ sports storage Tuesday tour!
I would also LOVE to see more on your morning quiet time corner! I have the worst time organizing all my books/lotions/pens/papers in my own.
Happy Tuesday!

Thank you for the ideas! We do not have a mudroom, but I can certainly check off the other suggestions. You’re too sweet, Kay! Thank YOU!

Thanks! The tour was very interesting, I love how you organized everything! ❤️

That is such a darling space! I know I would have died for something like that when I was there age. Do you think they will continue to share once they become teenagers? As the older sister in my family, I definitely would’ve given my messy younger sister the boot elsewhere. 😂

I’m not sure. They’ll probably eventually want their own space, but right now, many of their clothes are sharable, so it makes laundry easier for them.

The Tuesday Tours are so fun! Now that we’ve seen the little girls’ closet, may we see yours? We’ve seen small glimpses over the years, but I’d love to see a more detailed tour like you did with Ashby & Madely’s closet!

I’d love to see Kensingtons closet, makeup/ jewelry storage. Always looking for good products and organization ideas for my girls. Also it’s been awhile since you’ve showed Smiths room – wondering if he’s had any room updates?

Hi Shay! Would love a “tour” of how you organize your kitchen/pantry. I finally have a pretty kitchen that is mine all mine (moving into our new home over the weekend) and I need some inspo. 🙂

I loved this! It makes me want to get little baskets for my own closet, but I don’t have any hair bows. 😉

I’m loving these tours! I would love to see a tour of the outdoor area you guys created in the woods, with the fire pit and batting cage. — Also, not sure if this would count, but I would also love to see a tour of downtown McKinney! I’ve visited before, but it would be cool to see from your perspective. Maybe even include some of the people you encounter on a regular basis who wouldn’t mind waving or being introduced in a video.🤷🏼♀️☺️

Love these! I would love to see what you keep on the big bookshelf behind your desk or your and Andrew bedside table must haves!

I love your New England sweatshirt! Was that a Nantucket find?

Ashby & Madeley’s closet/loft is great and they’re lucky to have so much room. I like the idea of using baskets to put seasonal clothes in. We downsized to a 1 story and have a lot smaller closets. Our closet is on the list of things to go through so will think about doing that.

I love their secret loft! It looks so cozy and peaceful. That would have been my favorite place to play as a kid.

Hi Shay!
Can you do a post or do you have a post on “getting rid of childrens’ clothes/things?” I think I remember you saying before that you are really good at this in general and I’d love any tips you have. I have maybe 6 large rubbermaid tubs of my girls old clothes in the basement that would be great to get rid of to have more space and would benefit other families in need.
But I just can’t seem to let them go and think well what if there is a young pregnancy and I’ll regret giving away all those clothes and how much money it would save or thinking about the memories of when they wore certain outfits. Same with toys…will they want them for their kids one day? Wouldn’t it be great to have them for grandkids? But most just sit there not played with in the present.
Have you kept any special items/toys/clothes from your older kids younger years or have a system for doing so? Would appreciate any thoughts or mantras I can get in my brain to get this done! haha
Thank you and I loved this tour! That space just has such a good feel and has that “a place for everything and everything in its place.” 🙂

Well, it helps that I’m not sentimental FOR SURE! We purge our spaces very regularly. There is one family in particular that we love who are missionaries that we set aside items for and then there is a shelter in McKinney where we take items and then just a general items donation center. I have two bags in my car right now that I need to drop off. I just always think about how good it feels to have a purged space (it’s SUCH a great feeling!), and how nice it is to know someone else is really loving on items that we have instead of just holding on to it. again, I’m not sentimental, so that helps.
