Happy happy LAST DAY OF JANUARY, friends!
We made it.
Just one more day.
I hope you had a wonderful week! I feel like we covered A LOT of topics here in blog world from BOOKS to BREAST HEALTH to a BURN, and everything in between, thank YOU for being here!
As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika and sharing my weekly faves.
Happy last day of January! xx

I haven’t had a lot of desire to get dressed this week. It’s been cold. It’s been rainy. I can’t wash my own hair (God bless my sweet husband for doing it for me as I lay on the kitchen island)…but…
…I had actual appointments yesterday and got myself dressed. HOW CUTE ARE THESE JEANS?!
Riiiight?! They’re under $40 and come in several other color options too. I bought “light blue with frayed hem”.
Super cute 🙂 . JEANS + COTTON SWEATER + SNEAKERS for the win!
And on one of my “no desire to get dressed days” this week, I wore THIS SWEATSHIRT and thought the acid wash was super cute 🙂 .
Well, you know that we LOVE our sign wall.
This week, we got our newest addition…
Awwwwww! After years and years of sweet Amy making a snowboarding birthday sign, she was thrilled to make something new. Ha!
I just love all the details!
Amy makes THE CUTEST original wall art! Whether you want something super specific (like my birthday signs) or something festive/holiday fun, she’s your girl for all things signs. You can find her here: HERE’S YOUR SIGN.
You’ve heard Andrew talk on our podcast or in a Q&A video and/or in a random blog post about his cracked feet. I mean, it was a thing (bleeding, cracked heels). I realized a few weeks ago though when we were sitting on the couch that when I looked down at my feet, mine were worse than his! His feet had ZERO cracks and mine looked like they needed a pedicure STAT. I pointed out said feet and he said “Yeah, I have the prettier feet now”. Needless to say, I stole his foot cream and you guys, within two weeks my feet LOOKED SO MUCH BETTER!!!
Here I am about to apply this HEALTHY FEET CREAM. I just put some on my heels every time I get out of the shower or bath…
…and look how good my heels look!
I didn’t realize how amazing this stuff was or I would have taken a “before” pic, but here are my feet right now, and let me assure you, they look MUCH better!
Of course lunch with these ladies was a FAVE this week! I am so grateful for my amazing team at Mix and Match Travel Agency. We were sad Whitney and Caroline couldn’t join us. They were certainly missed! It’s always a blessing to work with women you really and truly love and adore.
Clearly this is the week of books because…
…I have another one for you 🙂 . I’m not even going to count this as “a book I read” this month because it’s super short, but girls, I loved it! I bought MORNING RITUALS while we were in a little shop in Australia and devoured it. It’s just a very happy book about making a better morning. Who doesn’t need that?!
And finally…
…I feel like your winter weekend needs a hearty breakfast casserole. Today, I’m re-sharing my personal all-time favorite. Yup. It’s just oh so good! Check out my SPICY SAUSAGE BISCUIT BREAKFAST CASSEROLE today too!
That wraps up this week! Happy happy weekend! I’ll see you on Monday. xx

It’s hard to talk about light things in the wake of this tragedy in DC. I live close by, and our community is absolutely devastated. There’s a family right by us who lost the mother and daughter. The father and son weren’t on the plane.
My heart breaks. They all need our prayers.

It’s absolutely terrible.

Agh! I never even thought of not being able to wash your hair! That is hard!! Bless your husband! Totally just added that foot cream to my Walmart pickup!!
Sheaffer says
Oh my goodness! I didn’t think about the fact that you couldn’t wash your own hair right now! HOW TERRIBLE! You need to book yourself a Drybar appointment immediately.
Mix and Match Mama says
Ironically, Andrew said the same thing last night as he was yet again washing my hair. Bahaha!

Good morning! I had really cracked heels as well and (via dermguru on Instagram) use glycolic acid. My heels and feet are baby soft. Happy weekend!

Shay,
I feel ya with not being able to wash your hair!! I was at a bball camp in high school and injured my hand….my right hand. So my sweet roommate washed my hair for me in a tiny dorm room sink!! We laughed so hard! She was such a good sport and had the best laugh!!! I am a righty, so EVERYTHING was so hard!!! I had to “teach” my left to be the leader. My coach was so happy because my left hand got stronger .. thought your sports people may laugh at that. I did so many wall passes and dribble drills. Lol.
Have a great weekend. Find some cute movies and relax!!

Right before I read your blog I ordered my two youngest grandbabies’ signs from Amy for thier first b-day in March! She did my oldest grandbaby’s 4th b-day sign in November…Elsa and Anna! It was amazing! Thanks for sharing her with us!
Mix and Match Mama says
Awwww, I am so happy you used her too! This warms my heart so very much!

I was so excited when I read about your Disney Newsletter on IG yesterday. I signed up immediately! We are going on our first MMT planned Disney Trip in December.
I am so sorry about your hand and your inability to wash your hair. I’m prepped for shoulder surgery and I’m trying to teach my husband how to put my hair in a ponytail now….. it’s not going well. I’m going to look so tragic.
Mix and Match Mama says
YAY! We are so excited for your upcoming trip!! We LOVE Disney!!
