Happy What’s Up Wednesday!
You guys, tomorrow is THANKSGIVING!
Holy cow, that got here fast.
I shared this on Stories Monday, but geez, it’s so true…

Why must this time of year go by so quickly?!
Okay, as always, on the last Wednesday of every month, Sheaffer and I host this little linky party where we share what’s going on with us right now. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.
Happy Last Wednesday of November, friends!

I spent all day yesterday baking and cooking with my three girls. If you haven’t finished up your Thanksgiving meal planning yet, LET ME HELP YOU!

Today, I’m sharing my annual THANKSGIVING EVERYTHING POST!
From breakfast recipes to appetizers, cocktails, side dishes, and SO MANY PIE RECIPES, I have every savory or sweet recipe you could need for tomorrow in ONE POST!

Well goodness, I just had the BEST time last week in Walt Disney World with my amazing team!
Every year, we take a team trip, but this year was EXTRA magical because all of us were able to go (no newborn babies this year!). I know I sound like a broken record, but Disney is absolutely fabulous for adults too. When we were discussing this year’s trip, my team kept coming back to Disney. Even though we did it a few years ago, they wanted to repeat…and to date, this was my personal favorite trip we’ve taken. We had so much FUN!
Here are some pics…

Hello Epcot!

We were very very merry all week long 🙂 .

Brooke, Mackenzie, Caroline, me and Whitney on one side of the monorail.

Just too much fun…

I am so thankful for all nine of these ladies AND their amazing husbands. I know, especially as mamas, leaving for the week isn’t easy when you have a bunch of kiddos at home, so I’m really so grateful all of these families were able to make it work.
Erika, Clare, Brooke, Hannah, Caroline, Mackenzie, Shanna, Jane, and Whitney, I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR YOU ALL!
Almost fourteen years ago, what started out as a little dream for me has turned into a THRIVING business that supports all of these ladies and their families too. I am so grateful to so many of YOU for allowing my team and me to create your vacations. We take so much pride in what we do, and we are always thankful for your business.
You can reach out to us and find more information ON OUR WEBSITE. I am so blessed to do this every day.

‘Tis the season for a layer!
November has been “little jacket” weather.
This is literally me right now…

…working on this blog post from the orthodontist’s office while I wait for Ashby’s appointment to be over. I’m wearing…

…this adorable LOTTIE CARDIGAN! So cute!
This month, I’ve also bought…

…this VEGAN LEATHER PUFFER! I loved the “red wine” color, but it comes in several other options too. The quality of these puffers are so good (especially for the price). For a size reference, I bought mine in XS. Love.
On Saturday night, I wore…

…this QUILTED JACKET. Clearly, I’m very much into this cranberry color right now 😉 .

My CABLE SHERPA comes in other colors, but the festive dark green gave me all the holiday vibes!

This guy finally got that bicep and shoulder repaired. Woohoo! As you probably guessed, surgery didn’t keep him down. He had the surgery on Friday morning and by Saturday night, he was asking for a field trip.

The weather was spectacular, so we took the little girls and headed to The Yard in downtown McKinney…

…we watched football, played cards, and enjoyed a delicious dinner. Clearly, I did not purchase these playing cards. Sigh.

The bad news is that Lovejoy is out of the playoffs this year in football.
The good news is that this means the Shull family…

…gets to Stroll 🙂 .

There are just so many cute Christmas-y movies out right now. Not only have I been watching the ones on the Hallmark channel, but…

…this week, I watched Champagne Problems on Netflix. It was super cute and very Hallmark-y.
I also watched…

…A Merry Little Ex-Mas on Netflix too, and it was also adorable!
I know there are so many others out there right now too. If you have recs, please send them my way!

Well, like I mentioned, I’m in the orthodontist’s office, and they are playing ’90s country quite loudly. You know I’m not a country music fan, but at least this is ’90s country so the artists are familiar to me (from my high school days).
I’m legit listening to Straight Tequila Night right now, hahahaha!

All the things.
Here’s a big old eclectic mix…

This outfit on REPEAT over the years especially when I travel.
MY COAT (on sale) + MY FAVORITE BLACK JEANS + MY CHELSEA BOOTS (also on sale!) and I bought MY WAFFLE KNIT BEANIE to go with it.

THIS SWEATER . I love it so much! I already mentioned this, but I wore it to dinner and oh my goodness, did I receive a lot of compliments! I bet at least five different women stopped to ask me where I bought it. Love!

I thought this RUFFLE FRONT SHIRT was cute and could be dressed up or down.

My JAZZY EMBELLISHED SWEATSHIRT is so cute! It’s simple, so comfortable, and yet festive for day or night too!

On this night in Budapest, I wore THIS FESTIVE TOP, MY CORDUROY PANTS, and BOOTIES.

‘Tis the season for CUTE HOLIDAY SWEATERS (so ugly that they’re cute!) on sale right now too!

MY SWEATER (on sale!), FAVORITE BLACK JEANS and CHELSEA BOOTS were perfect for a day of walking and site seeing.

And on this night in Budapest, I wore THIS TOP with MY CORDUROY PANTS, and BOOTIES.

It’s McKinney’s annual Home for the Holidays event on our town square! This is one of my VERY favorite things to do in McKinney!

It’s an event the Shull family never misses 🙂 .

I am just so excited about the month ahead.
One thing before we go, tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I just want to make sure you all know how thankful I am for all of you. Truly, the fact that you ladies show up here for me every day means more to me than you’ll ever know. I am so grateful for this community. I am grateful for your support. Your prayers. Your love. Your encouragement. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow.
About this time last year, one of you amazing blog readers won one of my giveaways. Yesterday, her family buried her. She was only 45. Life is way too short. I hope tomorrow we can all take a minute to stop and really give thanks to the Lord for giving us each and every day we have.
From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving. xx

Happy Thanksgiving, Shay! I am SO grateful for you!! You inspire me daily in my walk with the Lord, in being a mom, wife, daughter, friend. Thank you for all you do! I wanted to ask if you have an Advent study you are going to do this year. Would love a recommendation!
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank YOU so much! And goodness, I think you’re about the fifth person to ask me this, and this year, I didn’t get a new Advent devotional. Now, I’m bummed I didn’t. I am working through another study and didn’t want to pause, but next year, I promise to do an Advent.

Shay,
I had to laugh at your Straight Tequila night comment. I love country music…90s I got I to it more and was line dancing. Lol. But I went to a weekend long concert and between artists they played John Anderson, singer of Straight Tequila nights…ugh. I was so sick of his music…Seminole wind and really anything by him.. I just turn it right away.
We have been watching Hallmark movies as well, the Exes on Netflix. Last night we watched Family Plan 2 with Marky Mark. It was good.
.We are waiting snow and wind and all sorts of the winter weather… We have so many weather alerts right now!
Prayers for your readers family. Life is short…. I will be praying for those that aren’t together with family, those going through their first holidays without loved ones or those missing in their lives and those that have been down that road and just wish those people were still at our table.
Christy says
In the pic with the corduroy pants I had to double take because it looks like you have a bob, and it looks so good!!?

Life is too short and there is so much to be thankful for, even in the difficult seasons of life. Thank you for being such a bright spot and showing up for all of us consistently. It’s a comfort for me to come to your blog every day and be uplifted.

Watched Our Little Secret on Netflix with my teen daughters and it was so cute!! Kristin Chenowith never disappoints! Also watching Great American Fam holiday movies for the first time this year – they’re really good, and more wholesome so we can watch with visiting younger fam members too.

Hi Shay! I’ve been so curious…. When you started your travel agency, did you know what you were doing?! lol. Like how did you learn the proper programming, or software, or get certified, etc? It’s obviously grown into an amazing company, and I’m just curious how you initially figured it all out! Thanks! xx
Mix and Match Mama says
I had to learn! I spent three months doing all of my training and getting my certifications before I launched my agency.
