Happy THURSDAY, friends!
Well, it’s BOOK DAY today. If you want to see the five books I read in May, hop over HERE and check out my review. If you want to see something SUMMERY, stay put on this post 🙂 .

I feel very confident that at this point in our relationship you understand that whether or not you want to embrace whichever season we are currently in, I am going to drag you into it kicking and screaming with so much joy and enthusiasm that you won’t be able to help but love it.
Today is just a reminder of all the reasons we should be getting excited and embracing SUMMER.
Should you need a little inspiration right now to get into the summer season, I have EIGHT SUMMERY BLOG POSTS you might want to read 🙂 .

These are the items I bring with me every.single.time I head to the beach!

These are all simple little ways I savor the season. I don’t want to miss a single, summery thing. There is so much to appreciate and enjoy!

MY 21 KEYS WORKING FROM HOME {SUMMER EDITION}
This time of year is always the trickiest for me as a “work from home” mom. No matter how many years I do it, I always get a little “pre-summer” anxiety leading up to it.

You can find all of my summer recipes in ONE SPOT! From burgers to cocktails, desserts, appetizers and breakfast ideas too, the summer season is one of my favorite times to cook, eat and repeat.

It truly is the best time of year to read 🙂 .

You can find the 2026 edition of everything I’m wearing this season right HERE!

Andrew always quotes one of his football coaches when he’s encouraging our kids about their various athletics and says “If you stay ready, you never have to get ready”. Well these words apply to our family because we stay BEACH READY! We go to the beach almost every day during the summer season which keeps us “beach ready” all the time. You can check out our best tips and tricks and ideas HERE. This post also includes my favorite SUMMER MOVIES!

And last but not least, this isn’t a blog post, it’s my SUMMER PLAYLIST. It’s fun, it’s happy, it’s family-friendly, and it will put you in the summer spirit 🙂 .

Just a bonus little post should you need something extra to go along with BOOK DAY!
Okay tell me, what’s your FAVORITE thing about the summer season? For me, it’s all of this extra family time. xx

That is a GREAT way to dive into summer! For the life of me, I can’t remember what Ashby is currently reading. It’s book four of a series. Mades is reading through Judy Blume 🙂 . She’s currently on Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great.

Love this post Shay! Summer is my absolute favorite!!! There are so many things I enjoy about this season…hiking, eat outside everyday, Saturday markets, eating all the fresh fruits and veggies, floating the river, swimsuits, tank tops, shorts and sandals, long days, my yard, trips in our travel trailer, riding bikes, taking outdoor showers, spending time on our screened porch and on our patio, walking or biking places instead of driving…this list could go on and on. Love, Love, Love!

I love the longer days – we take advantage by walking after dinner every evening even if we have worked out earlier in the day. Also love all the summer fruits and the summer holidays.
