I hope you have all had the best week! This week has gone by in a blur…but I am so so excited for our final summer weekend (school starts next week!). Tonight, we are going to dinner to celebrate both of our besties’ birthdays…and then, we get to hang out with Tab and Erika on Saturday night again because we have a football thing to attend together. A double dose of the Slaughters is always a great weekend 🙂 .

Yesterday, we went for her cap and gown photos, and my mama heart about exploded.
I can already tell that this is going to be a really special and FUN year for us all.

Well friends, I just started her latest book…
…LIFE IS GOOD which she just released this summer. Last fall, Fiona was diagnosed with breast cancer, and this book is about her journey. Leave it to Fiona Ferris to write such a beautiful book about such a hard time in her life. I’m only about a third of the way through, but it’s raw and real and very transparent while also being funny and positive and full of joy. I’ve always loved her books, but this one is extra special. Extra extra special.

Oh gosh, hmmm…it is such a sensitive time, that I don’t know how to answer this. I would think so (because it’s very raw and real but also funny and light and positive), but I also know that for some, that’s not what they need during this time. I think it depends on the reader.

Just yesterday Kensington and Ebby Lee were sitting on the beach together. They were about to enter high school. You named it “just two high school cheerleaders sitting on the beach” or something like that.
I remember this like it was yesterday. Has it really been FOUR years and they are both seniors?! Wow.

I bought a Beis backpack for a trip to Puerto Rico a few years ago. I absolutely love it and it’s my go-to for plane trips, road trips, and everything in between.
