Happy Friday, friends!
Whew, we are a little tired over here. Last night, the Lovejoy Leopards played their football game in Godley, TX which was about 90ish minutes from our house. By the time I went to bed last night, it was well after midnight. We have no time to be tired though because we have school AND a McKinney Boyd pep rally this morning. There is no rest for the football season parents 😉 .
As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika this morning and sharing this week’s FAVORITE THINGS!
Spoiler alert: the recipe in this post is absolutely delish. You’re going to want to check that out for your weekend 🙂 .
Cheers to Friday, y’all! xx

As you know, it was a HUGE week at the Shull’s house…

We celebrated her birthday on Saturday night with my mom…because Saturday was actually my mama’s birthday!
My mom politely declined that I include her age on the decorations and cake. Bahahaha! We loved celebrating these two!
Kensington’s actual birthday was on Tuesday, September 15th, and she asked if Andrew and I could meet her on the square for lunch after school.
Um, YES!

She wanted to eat at our favorite pizza pub, Cadillac, and they were super sweet to bring out her pizza with a candle 🙂 .

The OG right here. The three of us started this wild and crazy family together. Goodness, how we love, love, LOVE our oldest girl.
It has been such a sweet week celebrating our Kensington.

It wouldn’t be a Friday Faves in the fall without some…

…football pics! Last week was BANANAS!
On Thursday night, Boyd’s game was in Keller, TX which is about an hour away. Due to lightening, the game was delayed one hour and 15 minutes so by the time it was over and everyone was home, it was well after midnight.

This girl was the cheerleader of the week though, so we cheered hard all night long for our favorite senior.
Then the next night in Lucas, TX, we had ANOTHER lightening delay which meant instead of kicking off the Lovejoy game at 7:30, we kicked at 8:45…

…we were all so thankful to finally make it into the stands and start the game.
After the game, this pic was posted on one of the Lovejoy Instagram accounts…

…and to say it made my heart swell BIG is an understatement. Goodness, I love me some Smith Shull and some Nixon Slaughter…

…those babies sure don’t keep.

You guys, this was a BIG favorite this week…

…Colleen Rothschild just released their new Vitamin C Eye Patches!

I have been waiting for these to come out! You know how much I adore a Vitamin C Eye Patch 🙂 .
They’re calling these “the 10 minute eye reset” as they “refresh and revive the look of tired eyes in minutes. These hydrating, cooling patches help boost moisture and reduce puffiness while smoothing and softening the under-eye area. Infused with Vitamin C, Sea Buckthorn, and Ceramides, they help nourish the delicate skin under the eyes for a brighter, well-rested appearance.”
Yes, please!

You know what I do…I put them on while I drive to the gym in the morning and then pop them off before I head inside. If you use code SHAY20 right now, you can get 20% off!
My code works site wide at Colleen Rothschild! They pair perfectly with my beloved VITAMIN C NOURISHING CREAM and because they’re individually packaged, these would be EXCELLENT to carry with you on flights.
Thank you, thank you, Colleen Rothschild for sending me my first set so I could share them. I have already gone in and bought two more boxes. Love!

Right now, it is NOT jacket weather in Texas, but I went to Anthropologie last week with the little girls to buy candles and bought myself…

…THIS ONE and…

…THIS ONE.
Clearly, I have no self-control, BUT THEY ARE BOTH SO BUTTERY SOFT annnnnnnd the price point was crazy crazy good. When I was trying them on, I kept going back and forth trying to decide which one to buy when the sales associate told me to get both because they’re flying of the shelves and I would regret it. So I did.

BOTH jackets come in multiple colors, but I decided to get one gray and one brown. Now, I just need the weather to cool down and/or somewhere to travel that’s chilly. I am so pleased with both!
And speaking of jackets, last year, I bought…

…THIS ONE to wear during the fall. It sold out pretty much as soon as I bought it, but I just saw that the exact one is back in stock! Woohoo!

I’ve been a little mad for plaid this week…

…on Sunday, I wore THIS PLAID DRESS to church, and then yesterday to Bible study, I wore…

It’s crazy soft, comfy, light and perfect for layering and transitional weather. It comes in SEVEN different color combos too!

See how soft it looks? So nice!
Speaking of comfy, I wore it with MY JEANS and MY MULES because I just can’t quit them.

These shoes are so comfy that I’m genuinely considering getting them in another color. Outside of other neutrals, they come in this plaid that is oh so cute!

And finally…

…this fall, I highly recommend you whip up my {easy!} APPLE PECAN CUPCAKES WITH BOURBON FROSTING!
Yup.
I put bourbon in my frosting.
And it’s so freaking good. 😉
See the recipe and details (and how to make it alcohol-free!) HERE.
I hope you all have THE BEST Friday! We are off for SENIOR NIGHT at the McKinney Boyd football game tonight 🙂 . I will be back here tomorrow for a bit more seasonal fun too. Until then, enjoy the start of your weekend! xx
