Tuesday Talk: Summer Slow Cooker Suppers

Once a month, I link up with Ashley and Erika (who host this fun little blog link up), and you blog about anything and everything.

In January, I blogged about HOW I’M USING ESSENTIAL OILS NOW
In February
I decided to blog about…THE FAMILY VALENTINE’S DANCE
In March, I encouraged women to share their businesses so we could SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER
In April, we talked about snacking!

And today, I’m sharing my SUMMER SLOW COOKER SUPPERS!

Summer Slow Cooker Recipes

I share this every year because friends, THE SLOW COOKER SHOULD BE YOUR FRIEND RIGHT NOW!

I used to think that the slow cooker was reserved for fall and winter only…BUT I WAS WRONG!!  During the hot summer months, when I don’t want to stand over my stove and oven, the slow cooker saves the day.  When we’re out by the pool all day and just want to come inside to dinner already prepared, the slow cooker saves the day.  When it’s a million degrees out but I don’t want to heat up the kitchen, the slow cooker saves the day.  The slow cooker was made for every day friends.  Every. Single. Day.

Throw your ingredients in, head out, come home, eat supper.  That’s it!  Who wants to be in the kitchen when there is fun summer stuff to be had?!  NOT ME!

Just a few little slow cooker recipes to get you from mid-July to fall (when our slow cookers work overtime!).  Pull it out, plug it in, and get dinner started before your day begins!

Love the Hawaiian chicken recipe. It’s also great as a sandwich-I put it brioche buns! Thanks for the reminder! I seem to forget about the crock pot for Summer.

I agree! I usually just use mine in Fall/Winter, but we’ve recently moved and I’m so tired at the end of the day (from unpacking & housework) that I’ve been using my crockpot more. It makes dinner so much easier. Today, I have taco meat cooking in it for taco salads tonight.
Enjoy Nantucket! It is still on my To-do list!

So, I was eating a late lunch with one hand and scrolling through this post with the other. The cursor was covering part of the headline and my brain interpreted it as Summer “Slacker” suppers! That just made me giggle and I had to share. I am not a busy mom, but the recipes sound yummy!
