Hey, hey Monday!
On Wednesday, our Madeley James turned EIGHT years old, and we celebrated big all day!
Our morning started with breakfast and gifts with the whole family followed by an after school surprise of Papa Jay and Lovie being at our house for a trip to Sonic and more presents…and then, it was off to her Spooktacular Pottery Party.
(Another AWESOME sign by Amy!!!)
Mades was conflicted on the type of birthday party she wanted…she wanted to paint pottery but also have a costume party…we just did both. Ha! The kids came in either their Halloween costume or festive outfit and painted. She was very specific about the food too…chick-fil-a nuggets, a meat, cheese and cracker platter and vanilla cupcakes. It was all so very Mades.
After a fun day at school, I snapped a pic and then after Papa Jay and Lovie left, we changed into her Halloween costume and headed out to the square to paint some pumpkins!
For Halloween this year, she wants to be Addison from the Disney movie Zombies 3. I love any occasion where we can wear our costume more than once!
We love Walls of Clay!
Downtown McKinney is always so charming!
Festive balloons and food to go with our pottery painting.
Miss Mermaid Britt was adorable as always!
Mades had selected these pumpkin-unicorns for everyone to paint. She said she liked the lashes the most 🙂 .
We also had some traditional pumpkins as an option as well!
Really, the place is so cute that few decorations are needed!
Vanilla cupcakes…all Zombie 3!
Ashby was certainly living her best life…food and painting!
The birthday girl had so much fun!
It was such a sweet party! After Andrew dropped the big kids off at church, he came by to hang out with us too. Madeley has the sweetest group of friends who could not have been more adorable as they ate and painted.
And that’s eight 🙂 !

That wraps up Madeley Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I’ll see you back here tomorrow. xx
