Happy, happy Wednesday! It’s another edition of LET’S LOOK!
If you don’t know what this is, once a month, Erika and I do a little link up where we “look” at different aspects of our lives (and then if you blog, you share and link up too!). We have been doing this little linky party for years now, and it’s always one of my favorite posts each month because most of the topics are YOUR suggestions!
In January, we looked at HOW WE ORGANIZE FOR THE NEW YEAR.
In February, we looked at WHAT WE EAT IN A WEEK.
In March, we looked at OUR FAVES FROM HIGH SCHOOL & COLLEGE
In April, we looked at HOW WE DO DATE NIGHTS!
In May, we looked at OUR HOMETOWNS!
In June, we looked at OUR GO-TO SUMMER LUNCHES
In July, we looked at HOW WE KEEP HEALTHY
In August, we looked at HOW WE DO EVERY DAY CLEANING
In September, we looked at HOW WE ORGANIZE OUR CLOSETS
In October, we looked at OUR HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
And today, we’re looking at….WHERE WE SHOP FOR OUR MOMS!
Now, I’m pretty sure that last year when you girls suggested these prompts, you requested this one for November because you wanted help holiday shopping for the moms, mother-in-laws and grandmas in your life, so that’s the angle I’m taking today.
I’m so blessed to have a bunch of lovely ladies in my life that I love shopping with and shopping for. I, of course, can’t spill the beans on what I’m getting them this year, but I can tell you what I’ve done in years past for not only them but my grandmothers and other women in my family too.
Today, I’m sharing my TOP SEVEN ITEMS to gift the ladies in my life (plus a bonus item or two!)…
I have gifted lots of ladies a Kindle Paperwhite. You all know it’s the only thing I use to read my books. I love, love, love THIS ONE because it’s waterproof so you can soak in a tub, sit by a pool or head to the lake worry-free. One of the main reasons why I love the Paperwhite is the lighting. No matter where you are…sunny or dark…it’s perfectly lit and gentle on the eyes. Plus, you can change how large or small you want the font, so it’s easy for everyone to read. I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I have read HUNDREDS of books on mine.
My mom actually told me about THIS MAKEUP BAG last September when we were in Boston. I bought it, used it and loved it so much that I even gifted one to all of my girlfriends for Christmas last year! It is the BEST way to travel with your makeup! I use the 20 inch version and have now gifted it to so many friends and family members. It has gone on every single trip with me over the last 15 months.
Whether she needs a jewelry organizer for travel or just for storing her items at home, I love THIS ONE! It makes an excellent gift!
Speaking of organizers, you know I’m obsessed with this one here…
…my mother-in-law was the first person to tell me to get a TRAVEL TOILETRY BAG that hung on the back of the hotel/cruise cabin door. This one HERE is a fabulous quality, and I’ve now been traveling with it for almost two years! I take it on every trip/hospital stay/overnight thing I have.
Every single lady in my family from my mom to my grandmothers, my sisters-in-law, my cousins…all of them have at some point been gifted THIS ROBE. As you know, I wear mine EVERY SINGLE DAY, 365 days a year. This is the softest, easiest to wear robe that washes and dries beautifully and never lets me down. It’s like being wrapped up in a blanket. I love it! Throw in a pair of SLIPPERS and you have the perfect gift.
Speaking of blankets, I have gifted so many women in my life THESE BLANKETS too! I don’t know about you, but I can never have too many throws in my house, so I’m always so happy to receive one…and then gift one too 🙂 .
And of course, personal little necklaces are always a good gift idea. Right now, MY INITIAL NECKLACES are only $15 each!
And finally, an EARRING LADDER! I gifted my mom, Catherine and my mother-in-law this earring ladder with a pair of earrings two years ago for Christmas. I actually loved their gift so much that I bought myself not one but two that I use every single day for my own earrings.
Now, my mom and mother-in-law would both tell you that their VERY FAVORITE GIFT is always a framed photo of my family. When in doubt, this is the gift to give 🙂 .
In case that wasn’t enough fun, I have a holiday gift guide for grandparents too! Here you go…
You guys, next month it’s DECEMBER…
…holy cow! Where did the year go?! We will be looking at HOSTING HOLIDAY PARTIES 🙂 .
If you blogged Let’s Look today too, please link up below.
Happy Wednesday, friends! I’ll see you all tomorrow! xx

Love this post! Wondering about the sizing on the robe, Because it is a gift I am unable to get the persons measurements. Would you suggest a zero for a person who is 5 feet and wears a petite small? thank you! I will add she’s probably your mothers age.
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes, I would! I would say that it leans a bit bigger than smaller, so don’t worry about it being too small.

I’m adding that earring ladder to my own list right now!

I previously saw another blogger specifically ask the intended recipient (mom/mother-in-law) for items on her wish list. Great approach because the recipients said they do not want to be gifted more “stuff” and would rather have experience type gifts with friends/family or even gift cards to the favorite salon, spa, restaurants, etc. Wonder if most moms/mothers-in-law would agree.
Stephanie Sanders says
I completely agree! I even take this approach with my grand daughters. They have/get so much “stuff” at Christmas that it’s overwhelming on them and my poor DIL since she has to manage it all around the house. We now try to gift experiences more than material things.

Oooooooooooh! Great ideas! I have the jewelry organizer, the over the door toiletry bag, and the earring holder and they are seriously 3 of my very favorite things!!!

We always get photo calendars with family pictures through the year for our parents and the one year I didn’t they all asked for them. Though I did warn them that this will probably be the last year I can do them since the boys aren’t around for photos all that often anymore!

Long time reader – rare commenter :)… LOVE these ideas, it’s always so hard to shop for my parents aka people who don’t need anything! I added the puzzel thing to my cart – will be perfect for my MIL. Thanks for being a bright spot!
Mix and Match Mama says
Awwww! Have the best day, Krista!

Do you know if any of the initial necklace letters will be restocked? The letter I need is sold out. Such a good gift idea for my girlfriends.
Mix and Match Mama says
I’m going to ask, Gloria!

I received the aerogarden last year and it is a great gift!! I now have petunias in it to have flowers on my counter, but its truly fool proof.
Linda says
What skin care does your mother-in-law use?
Mix and Match Mama says
Estee Lauder!
