You guys, I could not let the holiday pass without stirring up some trouble.
Today, I’m sharing my TOP FIVE, BOTTOM FIVE: HALLOWEEN CANDY.
This is a HOT topic at my house.
People are passionate.
Trick or Treat bags are raided.
People are disgusted.
We are passionate about our Halloween candy.
I feel like you all know this about me, but I’m not really a candy kind of person. I would never choose that as a dessert/sweet option. I like pie. I like cobbler. I like more pie. I’d rather have a brownie or cookie. Candy just isn’t my jam…but on Halloween night, I throw all of my “norms” out the window and dig in deep with the Halloween candy. Anyone use the light on their i-Phone to look through their kids’ bags as they’re still trick or treating? I’m looking and digging because I’m certainly not going to eat any old piece of candy. No way, I am a woman on a mission looking for specific things. Needless to say, this blog post was a breeze to write 🙂 .
Here you go, my TOP FIVE, BOTTOM FIVE: HALLOWEEN CANDY:
#5: BUTTERFINGER
I’m not even quite sure what it is I’m biting into, but it’s peanut buttery flakey goodness that I love. This candy bar has the perfect amount of chocolate (not too much, not too little) and that crunch. Um. I love me a Butterfinger. Nobody better lay a finger on my…well you know.
#4: 3 MUSKETEERS
I think this is a very underrated candy bar. Snickers gets a lot of PR. People talk about Milky Way bars too…but a 3 Musketeer bar is my JAM! That chocolate is so light and fluffy on the inside. I love that it’s almost kind of creamy. This one is simple but unique all at the same time. I love me a 3 Musketeers bar!
#3: REESE’S PEANUT BUTTER CUP
It gets extra points if it’s shaped like a pumpkin. This is the kind of candy that I consider “protein”. Chicken breasts, eggs, filet mignon, salmon, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. I kid you not, I have convinced myself of it’s health benefits. Again though, shaped like a pumpkin (or Christmas tree, Easter egg, Valentine’s heart) is really the only way I enjoy them.
#2: HEATH BAR
It’s like “real” candy. You know? If the other candies were in high school, this would be the adult candy. It’s complex. It’s a fancy. It’s for those of us with refined palates 😉 . I don’t feel like I’m eating gas station candy when I eat a Heath bar…it feels elevated and oh so delicious.
#1: SOUR PATCH KIDS
Because they’re the best. I’ve never met one I didn’t love, and yes, I’ll eat a whole big bag by myself. This is my #1 grab on Halloween night.
Now, those are my TOP FIVE, but I would really like to give a big honorable mention to the PayDay candy bar as it I feel it’s very underrated and absolutely delicious.
What about…
(Y’all this was crazy easy for me!)
#5: KIT KAT
It’s chocolate covered cardboard.
#4: HERSHEY BAR
Let’s discuss the #1 candy maker in the country producing the most boring, basic, flavorless solid chocolate bar. Um, Hershey, you people make other really tasty candy bars (Hello, Reese’s Fast Break?!), why is this one particular bar so blah? I don’t even want it on my s’more. I want a peanut butter cup on my s’more. Why, why, why, why would anyone walk into a gas station, look at the candy bar selection and select this one? Seriously? I need to know why?
#3: SKITTLES
I don’t even know where to start. They’re just little bites of fake fruity goo. Pass. Big pass. No thank you. Someone hand me an M&M instead please (bonus points if it’s peanut!).
#2: STARBURST
Again, I’m at a loss because I don’t understand the appeal unless you like to eat candy that sticks to your back molars for hours so you can enjoy it later? Nothing “bursts” about Starbursts. It’s hard and way too sticky.
#1: SMARTIES
Because I don’t eat chalk.
And of course, I asked my hubby his thoughts on candy too…
ANDREW’S TOP FIVE:
5: Butterfinger
4: M&Ms (regular or peanut)
3: Twix
2: Snickers
1: Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
ANDREW’S BOTTOM FIVE:
5: Hot Tamales
4: Three Musketeers
3: Nerds
2: Smarties
1: Anything homemade
For someone who doesn’t eat candy, I feel very passionate about this topic. I imagine you “candy people” out there will have some very specific opinions. I cannot wait to read them in the comment section below 🙂 .
Don’t forget to check out these other TOP FIVE, BOTTOM FIVE blog posts:

That wraps up our Tuesday!
Hopefully, none of you are too upset with my candy opinions 😉 . It’s almost Halloween, y’all! xx
Jess says
Underrated in my opinion but the Take 5 bars are always my first pick! I love the pretzel addition to the chocolate and peanut butter.
Faith says
Yes!!! I so agree!!
Candace says
Take 5 bars are the best!
Beth says
Yes! Take 5 bars are the best!!
Kate says
I’m a big Baby Ruth fan and my husband thinks I’m nuts.. I also love almond joy which is appalling to most 😝
Carly Abel says
You lost me at Butterfinger. I mean the fact that we have to question what we are biting into is the very reason I say Ewwwww to this softened particle board. It feels less like something you would find on the candy aisle and much more like something you would find at Home Depot!
Gail says
I’m with you on Take 5!! BEST EVER!
Elspeth says
I love these kinds of posts! I’m a huge fan of anything chocolate related (Reese’s are the best) and not a huge fan of anything gummy. I’m on board with you about smarties! Happy Halloween!

Sarah Shaneyfelt says
Reese Cups are my #1 in every holiday. Sweedish Fish makes me want to puke–yuck!
MeetTheShaneyfelts
Sheaffer says
Does this mean I can come over and take any of your Almond Joys? I mean, THEY WEREN’T EVEN MENTIONED. I can give them the attention they deserve.
Mix and Match Mama says
To quote my teens, they are “mid”. I don’t hate them and think they actually taste really good, but they don’t jump out as “must eat”. Please come over and enjoy ours! 😉
Alison says
Sheaffer, I’m with you! Those are my favorite. I light up when I see the little blue in the bucket. My oldest son used to say, the houses that handed those out don’t like kids. 🤣🤣
Emilee says
I LOVE a Take-5 bar. Sweet and salty!
Amy Heinl says
I love when you do these. Top 5: Kit Kat, M & M, Almond Joy, Payday and most favorite Clark Bar.
Bottom 5: Anything sour, 3 Musketeers, Necco Wafers, Candy Corn and Reeces Cup ( the original too much peanut butter not enough Chocolate. The shaped ones are great but the original..yuck)
Eliza says
What a fun post!
I am more of a candy for dessert person. And sugary over chocolate…love love smarties(your comment on eating chalk lol), nerds, hot tamales, sour patch & this time of year, candy pumpkins.
Not a fan of Hershey chocolate kisses, KitKat, blow pops, almond joy (are those still a thing??), & sour sprees.
Jessica says
Sprees! I forgot about those – yum!!
Jennibell says
Milky Way Dark. Absolute all-time, can’t pass up FAVORITE. And I love a good, fresh Reese peanut butter cup. Our office ladies just brought in Halloween shapes. I was so excited, took a bite, and it is OLD. I mentioned it, and someone said, “really?“. Yes! The center is crumbly and not creamy…gross. How can one not tell???
This was a fun one!!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Dark is WAY BETTER than regular. It’s not even a competition, right?!
Christine says
Hey Shay!!
I am an OG blog follower and I have to ask- do you still use vanilla bean Noel? I always think of you when it comes out!!!
Love you and have a wonderful day
Mix and Match Mama says
I’m lol because yes, yes I do! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! I’m dying that you know this quirk about me…and very grateful for it. I’m SO BLESSED by all of my readers, but I have a huge soft spot for my OG. Happy Vanilla Bean Noel Season!!
Jill says
Sour Patch Kids? UGH REALLY?? 😉
Top 5: Reeses, Kit Kat, Mr Goodbar (WAY underrated), peanut m&ms
Bottom 5: smarties, sour patch kids, hersheys, plain m&ms, skittles
Kimbrough Gossett says
My Dad always kept Smarties in his suit coat pockets so we could reach in them at church and get some out. To the point where we buried him last December with Smarties in suit coat pockets. Smarties make my heart so happy.
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh my gosh! This is just the sweetest. Oh I love this. Sending YOU so much love. I’m so sorry for your loss. xx
Susan McKain says
Have you tried a Smarties Lollipop? They come in two types, each one with 2 flavors. When you bite into them, the two layers look cool. IMO, they are much tastier than Smarties. I always thought they were some type of sweet tart. They had them at my neighborhood swim club snack bar growing up. Now you can get them on Amazon. (Plus they are a nice lollipop-alternative for kiddos with braces, so I often have them in a candy jar at parties.)
Mix and Match Mama says
I’ve never even heard of them!
Kimbrough says
I refer to those as “ballpark suckers” bc growing up we could only get them at (you guessed it) the local ballpark.
Katie Compton says
Ooooh my favorite topic… CANDY!! I’m a self-proclaimed candy addict. I pretty much love it all! But my friends think I’m weird b/c I can literally just have small handful of M&Ms, Sour Patch Kids, etc and be good. I’m a bargain candy addict… an average size bag of M&Ms can last me a week or so! Ok here is my list:
Top 5- and really this could be like Top 20
5. Gummy Bears- Haribo only
4. Reese Cups- miniature only
3. Twix
2. Milky Way Dark
1. Butterfinger
Bottom Five:
5. Crunch Bar- Rice Krispies should be in treat form only!
4. Mr. Goodbar- peanuts don’t fancy you up Hershey Bar!
3. Smarties- because CHALK!
2. Sweet Tarts- chalk isn’t any better when it’s made sour…
1. Good and Plenty- No. Just no.
Mix and Match Mama says
Your Bottom Five could be my Bottom Five. I didn’t even think about Crunch Bar or Mr. Goodbar because they’re so bad that they’re forgettable!
Lyssy in the City says
My mom used to tell us that heath Bars were gross so we would give them all to her…now I love them especially in ice cream! I would say Peanut m&ms and snickers are in the top for me. Candy corn and almond joy and whoppers are bottom.
TERRY JOYES says
Fast Break – SPECTACULAR! 🙂
Allison Ferrell says
Dying at your butterfinger description. Totally agree about 3 Musketeers, delish! And PayDay, so under-rated! And Heath, ohhhh yummm!! Nothing else needs to be said about Smarties, blegh. This was hilarious.
Talia says
Top Five: Snickers, Heath, 100 Grand, Peanut M&M’s, Starburst (orange and yellow only)
Bottom Five: anything sour, Reese’s peanut butter cup, anything white chocolate, candy corn (like eating wax), anything with macadamia nuts
Melissa says
Yay for the 100 Grand! Orange starburst are my favorite. Have to agree with 👎 white chocolate and candy corn. I do love sour candy, though.
NicoleinWI says
Ever tried freezing your 3 musketeers? Even better that way in my opinion. Plus I get to savor it for longer.
Mix and Match Mama says
My mind is blown.
Kelly says
Just refrigerating any candy with chocolate makes it SO much better!! Exception: anything with caramel because it makes it too hard
Kate says
Yup! When I lifeguarded we had all kinds of frozen candy bars in the concession stand!
Clare Butler says
Sour Patch Kids! YES! I literally cannot have these in the house or it’s minutes before I eat them ALL!
Monica says
I don’t care for chocolate so I’m all about the Sour Patch kids! Speaking of Kids…what are the other Shull 4’s top 5 and bottom 5? Have a happy day!
Danielle Morman says
Why do RPB Cups taste better when in a special shape? I was just talking about this with my coworkers. The special shapes are the perfect portion of chocolate and PB. Bring on all the pumpkins, trees, hearts, etc! YUMMY!
Mix and Match Mama says
THEY JUST DO. It’s not even a question, it’s a fact.
K.K. says
I think Snickers are the same way. Not so interested in the regular ones, but form that thing into a nutcracker, and I’m IN! 🙂
Toni :0) says
Hahaha oh man, that Snickers Nutcracker is the Bomb Diggity!! 🙌🏻🤣
Megan says
They have wheat! That’s why they taste different!
Amy says
Because there is more peanut butter! A better PB to Chocolate ratio (especially for the weirdos like me than don’t like chocolate)
Sheri says
Something about the peanut butter to chocolate ratio, right?!
Kristen says
Goldenberg Peanut Chews are hand down the best candy ever!!!!! Goobers and Raisinets!!!!! all winners!
Grossest candy- Three Musketeers! Anything gummy!
Laci L Murray says
Snickers for chocolate…Sour Patch Kids for “candy”… my top two favs!!
lee ann vicary says
I will start by explaining I was a VERY strict mom. When my granddaughter first started to eat real food my daughter had me helping her making her organic baby food. Now my granddaughter is almost 7 and spends a couple nights a week at my house and if she wants Reese’s peanut butter cups pumpkin shaped (or Christmas tree, or egg, whatever holiday we are at) for a breakfast snack before she eats something slightly healthier on her car ride to school – I’m there for it. There is peanut butter in them for Pete’s sake – it’s kind of like a peanut butter sandwich…right?
Mix and Match Mama says
RIGHT! Peanut butter is so super healthy even in candy form 😉 .
Kristy says
The descriptions are spot on. I laughed out loud. I think 100 Grand is a sleeper. Have you tried Sour Patch Extreme?
Top 5
Swedish Fish
Gummy Bears- Haribo
M&M’s, peanut, plain, peanut butter, pretzel, mini
Butterfinger
Good and Plenty
Bottom 5
Skittles
Almond Joy
There isn’t much candy I won’t eat! Ha.
Brooke says
You are so right about 3 Musketeers. They are so underrated!
Sharon says
My favorite is Milky Way Dark. My second choice is a U-NO bar with it’s truffle-like center. And Candy Corn is the worst!
I watched a vidio of Kourtney Kardashian showing how she eats a Kit Kat bar. She takes it all apart and peels off the chocolate and eats it separately. She’s nuts! Haha
Joanne says
These are all so fun and I swear that one day when I am out of blogging ideas I am going to steal these and write up some posts of my own! LOL.
My favorites tend to be Peanut butter cups (or pumpkins or any shape that combines chocolate/peanut butter), Kit Kats (which I eat in an oddly specific way and remind me of nutty buddy bars that I also love), Bit o Honey, Now and Later (especially the grapes ones!), and almond joys.
I HATE tootsie anything, gummy anything (that texture is just awful to me), Hershey bars of all kinds other than Special Dark, Starburst (again that is just much too close to gummy for my taste), most anything with nougat, and necco wafers but they would be beyond my bottom 5 as I won’t even eat them
Amy Ms. Azza says
Butterfingers are one of the most underrated candies out there!! I love me some Butterfingers..
K.K. says
Shay, I’ll trade you ALL my Reese’s cups for your KitKats, okay? 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
Deal!
Kathy says
I had a friend that loved Smarties so much I would give her a huge basket filled with them for her birthday! Not mentioned is the Baby Ruth ( and sometimes hard to find)–my absolute favorite along with a Heath Bar!
Megan Bowen says
Your description of Starburst was exactly right!
Top 5
Reese’s peanut butter holiday shapes only
Twix peanut butter
Peanut butter m&m’s
Hershey’s chocolate bars
And almost any candy purchased from a case in a fancy chocolate store
Bottom 5
Smarties…I truly just don’t get it at all. Little flavor, all chalk, gross.
Anything licorice
Anything fruit punch flavored. Pick one fruit, not all the leftovers.
Baby Ruth…the ratio of ingredients makes it very difficult to eat and so not worth it.
Anything made my Palmer’s.
Erin H says
Top 5: Twix, Snickers, Almond Joy (only at Halloween – I would never pick this out otherwise), Butterfinger, Reese’s Cup
Bottom 5: 3 Musketeers, Sour Patch, Suckers, Smarties, Candy Corn
My bottom 5 is basically my 5 year old’s top 5. Ha. On Halloween night she can eat all she wants, but her strategy is terrible and she always picks a sucker or ring pop and it takes her 2 hours to finish it and then it’s bed time. One day she’ll learn. hahaha
Jenny N says
Top Five: Whoppers, Kit Kat, Mr. Goodbar, mini Snickers, Twix
Bottom Five: Anything peanut butter (Reeses….yuck!!), Starburst, Skittles, Smarties, 3 Musketeers
SS says
Shay
Fun… Our kiddo and I did our list this morning after reading this…
Bottom of me..Twizzler, Double Bubble Gum, Peanut Butter Kisses, Tootsie Roll, Candy Corn or Pumpkin (For those of us with older kids cue the I don’t like Candy Corn song they played on Nick Jr…. My favorite Halloween Song! LOL!!!)
Top 5 – Blow Pop (not because of the gum… I just like the flavor of the lolli), Almond Joy, Whoppers, Heath and mini yorks (they are fun in their little shapes).
Runner ups… I love those little strawberry candies in the strawberry wrapper and lemon heads in the tiny box with like 2-3 in there.
I remember we would get apples and popcorn balls. LOL!!!
Faith says
Yes to REESE CUPS!! Number 1 for sure. As another reader or two mentioned, take 5 are so good too. The combo of chocolate, peanut butter, caramel and pretzel for a little saltiness to balance the sweet. 100% YES!!
I recently saw Reese cups with potato chips inside at our local Target. Now I don’t think I can go for these!
I’m with you on the skittles and starburst. In my bottom 5 for sure!!
Kim says
Sour Patch Kids. A definite all time low bottom of any list. They taste like dish soap! 🤢🤣
Beth Valenta says
Oh how I love these posts!
First, I really don’t like sweets, much rather have savory something.
Top 5: Skor bar, Twix, Almond Joy, Peppermint patty
When I was little my Dad would eat the peppermint patty on top of the peanut block in pieces. OMG so great.
Bottom 5: Anything gummy or sour, Snickers, Reece’s cups, Hershey kisses, and circus peanuts are FOUL.
AJ says
Have you tried a Symphony bar? Way better than Heath and very much in the adult chocolate bar range. I used to make brownies with a layer of Symphony bars in the middle.
Mix and Match Mama says
I have not! I need to though!
Sheri says
I think Walgreens usually has those in their candy aisle. Brownies made with one in the middle of layers of brownie “dough” are so delicious! We used to call them “slutty brownies” – no idea why.
Pamela Garrett says
I love Almond Joy but hate candy corn. I think it is funny that Andrew hates homemade candy 🤣
Casey says
I may have celiac disease, but pumpkin shaped Reese’s are a risk I’m willing to take! They are just better. Sorry intestines. 😂
Lori Whittington says
Same! 🙂
Amy Rae says
Shay, I have been reading your blog for years and years. I used to be so good at commenting but I have fallen off that train and need to get back on. I was so excited to meet you at Go Wild in Nashville! I love Butterfingers (do you remember back in the day the Butterfinger BB’s? Those were my jam and I was sad when they stopped making them). White Chocolate Snickers are my favorite. I also love anything Reese’s. I don’t like the regular Hershey’s but I do like the cookies & cream Hershey’s. I’m not a fan of Skittles either. I love sour patch kids and sour patch straws. I do not like Hot Tamales or Mike or Ike’s. I do like Starbursts but they are not my first choice.
Mix and Match Mama says
Please get back on, Amy! I’m so happy you commented today. Now, I do need to argue with you though because I adore me a Hot Tamale 🙂 .
Ruby Huling says
My child commented last week that she was going to save all the Almond Joy and Butterfingers for me…she knows what I like! Lol. I hate anything not covered in chocolate!!
Jodi says
Smarties are chalk for sure. Their adult cousin is the Necco Wafers. Gross, why not just eat Tums.
Mix and Match Mama says
I just lol!
Melinda Bridge says
My top 5 are Snickers, peanut M&M’s, Almond Joy or Mounds, Reece’s, but only in the holiday shapes, the bag with the Hershey miniatures… especially the dark chocolate ones.
Bottom 5 are 3 Musketeers, Gummy Worms, Twizzlers, Sour Patch Kids, Mike and Ikes.
Alissa says
🤣🤣🤣I love Andrew’s number 1 on his Bottom 5…considering you have many cookbooks and bake a ton. 🤣
I love me so Butterfinger so I have to agree but I’d make it higher. It’s quite possibly my #1! I also love Sour Patch Kids but right up there with Butterfinger would be Twix for me! And I love KitKat! Really the only thing I disagree with you on. This was fun and made me chuckle! 😊
Mix and Match Mama says
He hates homemade Halloween treats like when people pass out popcorn balls, homemade fudge. His Type-A self does not want food out of someone else’s kitchen. Bahahaha!
Alissa says
Dying 🤣 I can’t say I disagree with this!
Toni :0) says
Fun post. Here’s mine!
Top 5:
1. Heath
2. Reese’s Cup but FRESH only. Press lightly in the middle before purchasing, the softer the better!! Yes to this on a S’mores, especially a Reese’s Dark Thin!!!
3. Payday
4. Snickers
5. Milky Way
Bottom Five:
1. Smarties
2. Sour Patch Kids-blech!
3. Hershey Bars-SO PLAIN AND BORING!!
4. Hershey Milk Chocolate Kisses-See Above!
5. Gummy Bears-yuck, too hard on the teeth!
Connie says
Paydays are in my top five! Yum! Reeses peanut buttercups, M&Ms, Snickers and Kit Kat. I like others too though. Ha! I try not to eat much candy often at all though.
Lori Whittington says
Have you tried the watermelon sour patch?! Those are so addicted, but my first true love is a Reese’s! 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!!!
Ali says
Reese’s will forever be my #1 candy of all time! My other favorites include peanut butter M&Ms, peanut M&Ms, Mr. Goodbar, and Almond Joy. If you can’t tell, I love nuts/nut butter with my chocolate! 😉
Jessamyn says
100 Grand!! Unfortunately my kids like them too!
Nicole Phillips says
My fav too
Megan Ferchen says
I highly recommend making your own Butterfingers – equal parts candy corn (crazy, I know!) and peanut butter – melt on the stove, spread in pan, cover in melted chocolate (I just use semi-sweet chocolate chips). Cool, cut, and devour the entire pan, It’s absolutely insane how close to a Butterfinger they taste (even down to the texture!).
Kim E says
You and K need to do a top 5 / bottom 5 of Taylor Swift songs 😆 Except that seems impossible so maybe just a top 50 or so
Mix and Match Mama says
WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!!
Alison says
Top 5
1. Sour Patch Kids- I could eat them until my tongue is raw
2. Sour Punch Twists- the sour patch kid’s long lost cousin
3. Sweetarts-I guess I like sour chalk hahaha
4. Laffy Taffy- banana flavored
5. Mr. Goodbar- I would never choose these on any old day but I’ll eat every one in the Halloween bucket
Bottom Five
5. Jolly Ranchers- why is the wrapper always melted to the candy? Also, I just spent $200 on Halloween costumes, so I can’t afford to lose a tooth.
4. Tootsie Pops- it’s a lot of effort to get to the center and be rewarded with a tootsie roll on a soggy stick.
3. Payday- calling peanuts candy without including chocolate is criminal
2. Dots- again, I prefer to keep my teeth
1. Candy Corn- I heard the coating is made from bugs and I can’t unhear that
After reading the comments, I’m convinced I need to try a Butterfinger again!
Mix and Match Mama says
Your Bottom #5 could not be more spot on!
Lisa says
This is probably an unpopular opinion so I’m gonna whisper it. I love a Reese’s Cup but not the pumpkins or Christmas trees or the eggs. The chocolate to peanut butter ratio is off. I would trade those for something yummy like a Snickers or Twix or…anything chocolate (no 3 Musketeers though)
Mix and Match Mama says
I don’t even have words, Lisa. It’s just wrong. 😉
Rachel says
I get it! The ratio is just wrong.
Katie Compton says
Yes! I soooo agree and so does my husband. To the point to where when my daughter was younger she would always comment how nice Santa was to give Daddy “normal” Reese Cups in his stocking instead of the Christmas Trees. 😊
Toni :0) says
It’s the ridges for me, they are perfect. Not a huge fan of the pumpkins but I do like trees but prefer those Reese’s Ridges!! 😉🙌🏻
Hope says
I grew up down the road from my grandparents country store. Granny used to call when she had a new candy in and I would pedal my bike down there as fast as I could. She loved that I was her taste tester(so did I).
I just found a Mars bar while vacationing in Portugal and had to have it. It brought back many memories.
As I get older I like the sour fruity candies more. I only like good chocolate and Heath is also in my top 5.
Gail says
I LOVE Mounds and no one else seems to want them so it works out in my favor 🙂 Tootsie Rolls are the absolute bottom of the barrel for me. They make me so sad!
Jamie says
Please try Hi-Chews!! They are the best candy!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Kensington loves these too!
Linda says
You are too funny, I love your comments. I’m with you and could take or leave candy.
Nicole Phillips says
100 Grand Bar all day!!
Rachel says
Top 5…Peanut M&Ms, Milky Way Midnight, Reese’s peanut butter cups (not the holiday shapes!), Twix, Hershey’s, yep the plain one you don’t like! Honorable mention would be peanut butter logs!
Bottom 5…Whoppers, Twizzlers, Swedish Fish, Blow Pops, Smarties
Carly Alanna says
I was going to be offended by the smarties comment, until I remember that us Canadians call smarties something different. The smarties you are referring to are called rockets here! The “real” smarties are delicious 😉
Tarah says
I don’t think anybody has mentioned this one, but my favorite is a Milk Dud (referred to in my family as Milk Dudes)! And my fave Halloween hack = separate all the candy into chocolate vs. non chocolate bowls so the chocolate doesn’t end up tasting like a smartie.
Beth Hall says
The plain traditional Hershey bar is the only “normal” candy bar that is safe for those with peanut allergies. Everything else has a nut warning or May Contain on it.
But i agree it isn’t good. Maybe if dipped in peanut butter. Ha!
Mix and Match Mama says
That last sentence had me laughing out loud.
Kacy M says
I love Almond Joy, the white Hersey’s, and Peanut M&M’s. I don’t really like anything else. I probably eat candy once a month if at all (didn’t grow up eating candy/wasn’t allowed to). Was I deprived? Maybe, but my teeth are healthy. I did go trick or treating as a kid though, just couldn’t consume the candy I got.
Barb says
Butterfinger is my favorite.
Then Reeses
Then milk dudes
Halloway sucker.
