I hope you guys have had a great week! We had a rainy and gray start to our week, but by Wednesday, it was sunny and gorgeous and I can’t quit going outside.

On Monday, we celebrated Ashby all day long 🙂 .
Before Smith left for work, we woke her up to sing Happy Birthday. Nothing like five humans and three dogs in your face to start the day 🙂 . After that, she asked if she could go back to sleep, and Miss Teen slept until about noon. When she was up, we headed out…
…how is she already a teenager?! Goodness! She is just the sweetest too.
We let her pick the day, and she selected heading to town for lunch…
…these two are dressed for two different seasons. Ha!
Ashby picked…
…B-ACKyard BBQ for lunch which made everyone happy. Everyone (but Smith) was there to celebrate over nachos and clam chowder.
After lunch, she wanted iced coffee from Aunt Leah’s Fudge Shop and a new book from Mitchell’s Bookstore.
For dinner…
…this girl wanted sushi! We happily went to Bar Yoshi.
We are sushi people.
Thirteen! Just so so big. We had the best dinner celebrating our birthday girl!

Smith has the same job he did last year. I don’t share exactly where he is or what he’s doing (for his own privacy), but he loves it! Kensington has attempted to get a job now for the last two seasons but her schedule isn’t as consistent at Smith’s (she’ll have to go back to Dallas for two camps), so we got *close* this year but not successful.

Hi Shay, happy Friday! My favorite was being in Nantucket this week and seeing you twice! First you were exciting the ferry in Hyannis with your beautiful family and I was boarding the ferry. Second my husband and I were eating ice cream on main st. and you and Andrew walked by. You were talking and I didn’t want to interrupt. My sister and I went to Nantucket at the end of last summer for the first time and fell in love. We stayed at the Faraway! I cannot recommend it enough! Have you been in it? Seriously it smells AMAZING inside.

Hi Shay, growing up, we spent our summer on Coast Guard Beach in Eastham MA. We kept a diary/log/book of what we did on a daily basis which included our walks, the weather, who came to visit, etc., and we included pictures. It was our coffee table book. If you are not already doing so, I think when your children are older, they will enjoy having it like we did as they seem to love being on Nantucket. ☀️

Are most of the beaches dog friendly? We are headed to Nantucket the end of July and bringing our 2 pups but weren’t sure if they were allowed on the beaches. Also, how far in advance do you recommend making restaurant reservations. Curious to understand how quickly they book up. Thanks so much!
