It’s my annual COZY WINTER SOUPS post!
Every year around this time, I share my favorite soups, stews and chilis for winter. I don’t know about you…but at my house, soup is for supper just about every night in the winter. I like that they’re easy, that they’re filling, that they’re warm, that they can be made on the stove top, slow cooker or Instant Pot and that all you really need to go along with them is a salad…and maybe this…
…my Broccoli Cheese Cornbread!
Here are 34 of my favorite Cozy Winter Soups for winter right now…

An easy soup that I learned how to make from a coworker in my brother’s café is chicken and rice. It used a package of wild rice from Aldis, and a package of frozen peppers and onions along with shredded chicken and chicken broth. just cook the rice as it says on the package and add it to the broth and chicken. Sometimes I saute the onions and peppers and sometimes I just add them straight from the package. Easy peasy!

I made your Santa Fe soup today and it was delicious. Very simple too. My husband shredded up the chicken for me. He added a cup of shredded Monterey Jack right to the crock pot at the end. Thank you for the recipe. I hope you had a nice weekend. We may make this for company next weekend.
