Happpppy FRIDAY!
You know it does.
As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika and sharing some of my favorite things from this week.
I feel like we’ve covered A TON of ground this week here on my blog, so if you missed any of these posts, head over and catch up: MADELEY’S NEW ROOM REVEAL, OUR BEACH DAY IN CORSCIA, THE YUMMIEST 4 INGREDIENT COOKIES, TRADER JOE’S BACK TO SCHOOL PRINTABLE SHOPPING LIST, and OUR EPIC DAY IN ROME!
That smile in her new room 🙂 .
Okay, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
I’ll see you on Monday! xx
Ladies…
…my most loved coat from last fall has been on major sale all week long!!!
It comes in several colors (but I love nutmeg the most!), runs TTS (I bought xs) and even comes petite or tall.
I love the deep pockets, the zipper and the snaps.
I love how it’s not too bulky but keeps you warm.
I am obsessed. And now, it’s on sale 🙂 . You can find it HERE in multiple colors, and then my wedge waterproof boots from last year are HERE.
Sigh. I loved it. Sigh.
So, Smith and Andrew (of course) wanted to watch this new documentary on Derek Jeter, and I sat down and got sucked into it too. I hate the Yankees, but I super respect and admire this guy. I now also love his parents and sister too. This is super inspiring, super motivating and perfect for young kids.
Sigh.
I only mention it because it will legit make you a Jeter fan.
(I can be his fan now that he’s retired…)
Rainy and dreary weather this week had me feeling all the transitional clothes…
…in an attempt at self-control, I did not buy this top in the other color as well after wearing it on Tuesday…even though I wanted to. This top is SO SOFT!!!! It’s soft, it’s not too loose nor too tight, it’s perfect for transitional weather. I love it.
My uniform right now: SHORTS, BODYSUIT and SWEATER! In my house, I can keep cozy and warm with my sweater, but if I need to go outside to hang with my kids, I can take it off. This cardigan also comes in 35 different colors (I bought it in green), and I mentioned it last week too…
…in my FALL FOR AMAZON post where I shared all of the fall tops and sweaters I love for fall (all at really great prices!).
I’m just going to leave this photo right here. I feel it’s self-explanatory. 😉
We’ve had cheer pics this week and her first volleyball of the season. It’s been a sweet time of doing “all the things” with my 8th grader. Next year, she’s in high school. I just really need to enjoy every moment since time refuses to slow down.
And finally, whether you need an easy school day breakfast or a weekend bite, my Easy Maple French Toast Casserole is for YOU! Check out the very simple recipe HERE.
Those are this week’s Faves. Have the best weekend!!!!!! xx

My husband has been watching The Captain and maybe I should watch it with him! Cannot wait to try your maple French toast! I make your maple sausage balls frequently in the fall and winter and I just made my first batch for “fall” last week–they are a huge favorite in our house!

Off topic, but can you share your favorite white eyeliner again. Having trouble finding a good one. Hope you have a happy Friday!

They don’t make my Lancome version any longer, but MAC has one!
Dana P says
It’s probably only a temporary solution, but I’ve run into a couple of places for discontinued Lancôme lately (they had a powder I loved). One is our military base commissary in Fort Worth (not super convenient for most!) and the other is Grapevine Mills outlet mall that a friend told me about. I’m sure there are others around the country, too!

Omg our family just finished The Captain and it was so good! I’ve always hated the Yankees since I’m a Twins fan, but I now have a crush on Jeter. Lol I would also recommend the Netflix show about Colin Kappernick growing up. My kids loved and I loved it although it’s more appropriate for older kids as there is some language. We had some good conversations about racism after watching it. Highly recommend!

What are the top boots with the side silver zipper? Love love those!

Oh Shay,
You are an inspiration on so many levels. I love watching your family and Catherine’s too. God Bless!

God bless YOU!! Thank you so much!

Do your big kids still not have phones? I’m wondering how long I can hold off for!!
Mix and Match Mama says
They do not!
sandi says
Not that you wanted my opinion 🙂 but we have four teenagers and they received phones the summer between 8th and 9th grade. It is very difficult to say no when “everyone has one” but the longer you can go the better. Also unsolicited, but if you can hold off on social media until at least 16 that would be beneficial especially for girls. Well, and to protect your boys from things you don’t want them to see, ugh, it’s bad.
Stacy says
I do appreciate your insight! Definitely hard to be in the minority, but will definitely stand strong on this! And yeah, I am a heck NO on social media for them!! 🙂

I got sucked into The Captain too! It was so good.
Mary Elizabeth says
Is The Captain appropriate for my 7 year old?
Mix and Match Mama says
Some of the players they interview use curse words in their every day/normal speech (not in a hateful way), but other than that, I think it’s super inspiring for everyone (especially kids!).
