Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s time for this month’s LET’S LOOK!
If you don’t know what this is, once a month, Erika and I do a little link up where we “look” at different aspects of our lives (and then if you blog, you share and link up too!). We have been doing this little linky party for years now, and it’s always one of my favorite posts each month because most of the topics are YOUR suggestions!
So far in 2024, here’s what we’ve “looked at”…
In January, we looked at HOW WE CLEAN OUR CLOSETS.
In February, we looked at LITTLE THINGS WE DO EVERY SINGLE DAY.
In March, we looked at WHAT’S IN OUR GROCERY CARTS.
In April, we looked at OUR QUIET TIME/PRAYER TIME.
In May, we looked at OUR SUMMER CLOSET STAPLES.
In June, we looked at OUR SUMMER SCHEDULES.
In July, we looked at OUR FAVORITE PODCASTS & SHOWS TO BINGE.
And today, we’re LOOKING AT OUR PANTRIES.
(Side note, I had to type that word carefully because it is very easy to misspell it and type LET’S LOOK AT OUR PANTIES and really, that’s not what today’s post is about 😉 ).
Okay, so…
…when I sat down to write this post and read the prompt, I thought “geez, I think I’ve covered my pantry quite a bit lately”…
…if you missed INSIDE MY PANTRY…
…you should go back and read THAT POST because honest to goodness nothing has changed except…
…I did update the wallpaper 🙂 .
If you want to see the specifics about my pantry with the new gorgeous wallpaper, you need to read THIS POST!
So, my pantry has been covered recently and not much has changed at all, so instead today, I have a bonus little TRADER JOE’S HAUL to share as those are the goodies INSIDE my pantry 🙂 .
Right now is the “calm before the amazing storm” at Trader Joe’s. They are moments away from stocking the shelves and filling the freezers with all of my favorite fall, pumpkin, Halloween, and holiday goodies. I CANNOT WAIT!
In the meantime though, when I went this week, I grabbed mostly my “usuals” with a random new thing or two. If you’re about to visit, take a look at my last haul…
All three staples at our house. I prefer frozen corn to canned corn EXCEPT Trader Joe’s canned corn is on another level. It tastes just like it’s off the cobb.
New find alert! I saw these and could not resist! They are DELISH! Andrew and I had some last night with…
…a little bleu cheese and…
…Spicy Honey Sauce 🙂 . Both are staples at our house!
Speaking of staples…
…yup. Always on hand.
You know me, in lieu of a big dessert, I’ll sometimes have a piece of chocolate. The Dark Chocolate PB Cups are regulars at our house, but this was the first time I picked up the Chocolate Coconut Almonds. What’s not to love?!
I go through JARS of these sweet jalapenos. I put them on everything from my scrambled eggs to my tacos and pasta. I am obsessed.
It’s always good to have a fresh bottle on hand especially heading into fall! Use it to make my MAPLE SAUSAGE BALLS!
I’ve been sharing this creamy goodness for years. It’s spicy deliciousness especially on tacos.
I was FLOORED when I saw this in store this week…
…this is my FAVORITE bar mix that is typically only available during the holiday season. I’m not sure if it’s now going to be out year around or if they’re launching it early or whatnot, but I always buy multiple cans (especially during the holidays!). It’s delicious and easy to pour out for unexpected guests or an addition to a charcuterie board with a cocktail or drink. It’s a staple in our BUTLER’S PANTRY.
Um, hello? It’s almost FALL TIME!
Because we always enjoy these with…
…our guacamole. We are avocado people around here. I bet my family goes through 4 or 5 a day. Trader Joe’s has a great selection and a great price.
They taste like fall and are perfect as a little nibble with your afternoon coffee.
New product alert! There is absolutely nothing healthy about these, but man, my kids devoured them for a quick breakfast this week. Sometimes, you just have to be “donut hole mom”.
If you are a pickle person like me, head to Trader Joe’s STAT! They are pickle people too! This is where I buy all of my pickles (or pickle products like pickle mustard, pickle chips, pickle salad, etc). I always come home with pickles.
Yes, please!
Ashby Shull would eat this salad every single day for lunch. I try to pick one up every time I go because she LOVES them!
Once you buy frozen rice, I don’t know how you could EVER go back?! This is GAME CHANGING for prepping meals.
And I’m trying to include more fermented foods into my diet for the many health reasons, so I am on a BIG sauerkraut kick!! This one is delish!
Don’t forget…
…I have your printable BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING LIST with TRADER JOE’S HERE too!
So, check out my PANTRY ORGANIZATION and MY UPDATED PANTRY POST too!
(Geez, I hope there aren’t any typos in this blog post!)
Okay don’t forget, coming up this year…
…next month, we’ll share OUR QUICK WEEKNIGHT DINNERS!
If you blogged along with us today, please link up below.
Have the best day, friends! I’ll see you tomorrow! xx

Do you eat the sourkraut on its own? Or are you adding it into foods? I too just bought a jar but haven’t opened it yet, maybe I’ll try today!
Mix and Match Mama says
I eat it on my own. I can eat it right out of the jar. It is SO good! I had it with my brisket last night.
Elspeth says
So many fun finds! I love all the seasonal foods and snacks! Yum!

I buy many of these same items, however…I have to disagree on the hot honey. I think the Mike’s brand is the superior hot honey. 😉 Haven’t seen that sauerkraut and we eat a lot of it and kimchi.
Mix and Match Mama says
Where does one find Mike’s Hot Honey?! I’ll try it!
Addy Robinson says
Amazon!
Jeanie says
They should have it at HEB or maybe even your little neighborhood grocery that you go to by the nicer cheese section usually. Do a side by side tasting and I think you will agree. 🤞🏻
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank you!!!
Mary McCoy says
They have it at Walmart
Mary S says
You’re so right about that frozen rice…it’s the BEST!! And my kids thank you in advance for telling us about the donut holes. Going today! 👏
Kathy says
I’m looking forward to Trader Joe’s pumpkin cream cheese! Really all their fall things.
Sheaffer says
I don’t feel like I’m being dramatic when I say that the frozen rice is quite literally life changing.
Kacey says
I LOVE a TJs haul!!! Need to make a run this week and adding some of these to my list. Also, I almost spit out my coffee at your side note LOL I was thinking the exact same thing!
Kandi L Barber says
Always love your Trader Joe’s posts, I get a little lost in there when left on my own. Your pantry looks great!
Carrie says
My daughter is a T1D. A really cool thing about the quick cook rice or the frozen rice is that they are more blood sugar friendly than using non instant. When you cool and reheat things like rice or pasta it makes it more blood sugar friendly. So that is all I buy!!
sandi says
That’s a nice little tip. I believe I had read that somewhere just this week about cooking rice one day and using it the next for that same reason. I’ve never purchased frozen rice but may have to do so now.
Kelly Davis says
Would love to know how you eat the sauerkraut… would also like to increase fermented food in my diet , but not sure how.
Mix and Match Mama says
Now, I love me some sauerkraut (German food is my FAVORITE!), so I just eat mine plain as a side. I’ve been adding it to my plate with my lunch or last night for instance, I had it as a side with my brisket. I just include it as a “side”. This one is really really delish and perfect right out of the jar.
Linda Parisi says
Can you please tell me where you purchased the lighting over your kitchen table and in your pantry?
Mix and Match Mama says
Both are from Restoration Hardware!
Cris says
Just over here embracing my newfound identity as “donut hole Mom!”😉
Mix and Match Mama says
I just lol! 😉
Lindsey Buck says
There is something wrong in our house if there aren’t any dark chocolate PB cups in the pantry. My kids have started buying their own and writing their names with Sharpie on the top! I also buy the dark choc almonds, but haven’t had the coconut yet.
Erika Slaughter says
The next time you head to Trader Joe’s I’m gonna send my list. Why do I feel like shopping at Trader Joe’s is the equivalent to a cross country flight?
Beverly says
Love the pantry wallpaper. I used to be a big trader Joes fan until my cardiologist alerted me to the high sodium content in the majority of trader Joe’s canned and jared products. Now I just go there for milk & coffee. Too much sodium for me in their pther products.
Lynelle says
Interesting…do you think they have more sodium than other canned and jarred products? They are typically high in sodium so I was curious what would make them different? Did your doctor specify?
Alysa says
Do you have a Wegmans down south near you? If so, you need to try their store brand spicy sauerkraut! I know you like spice and it’s my favorite!! If no Wegmans, another spicy brand will do 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
I don’t! I’m so sad I don’t have one. I would try it in a heartbeat!
Alissa T says
I just saw The New Rules of Aging Well on kindle sale for $1.99! Snatched that up, thanks for the rec!
Mix and Match Mama says
That is a GREAT price!!
Kary D says
I had to laugh when I read what you wrote about The Snack Bar Mix. I had the exact reaction when I saw it in the store a few weeks ago. I was SO excited that I bought 4 of them. Ha! I’m so thankful to know someone else shares my joy!
Mix and Match Mama says
JOY!!!!!!
Karen in Virginia says
Sauerkraut is the BEST on the Trader Joe’s German brats with mustard on their own hot dog rolls!
Lynne says
Your side note made me cackle! : )
Faith says
I am a huge Reese fan but TJs dark chocolate cups are #1 hands down.
