…but the girls in my family can’t quit THESE LULU SLIDES. Every time I buy a pair, someone steals them (but to be fair, a few years ago, I stole Kensington’s first). I bought a fresh pair in navy to keep here this summer. It feels like you’re walking on clouds when you put these on.
Truly, truly, truly, one of my FAVORITE things to receive each summer is…
…ALASKAN CRUISE PICS!
Beautiful scenery, epic adventures, wildlife, delicious food, gorgeous weather…what’s not to love about cruising in Alaska? I have said this for YEARS, but it’s the perfect trip for big, mulit-generational family groups too. From beginning to end, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Alaskan cruising.

How about a little around town?
Early mornings and evenings are my favorite times of day to head to town. The day trippers either haven’t arrived or have left, so it’s extra quiet and peaceful…
Ashby, Charlie, and I walked to town for iced coffee from Leah’s Fudge Shop. Ashby (and Leah!) swear it’s the best iced coffee on the island.
Charlie and I sat on a bench and waited while Ashby went into one of the book stores. He watched the door for her the entire time.
It just never gets old.

I made dinner at home every night this week, but on one night, we decided to try a place we’ve always heard about but never ordered from…
…Sophie T’s Pizza!
Because what more do three girls need than 27 Dresses and pizza?!
We ordered the margherita and the meat lovers. Both were delicious! It was a fun, cozy girls night.
And this…
…has been a favorite all week long. The neighborhood girls have been selling lemonade all week. They did this last year too and at the end of the season, they donated all of the money to the hospital. My favorite part was that an administrator at the hospital wrote them a letter back thanking them for their donation. This is such a sweet group of girls!

Weekend posts always make me extra excited! I bet each of your kids have an entrepreneurial streak in them, and it will be so cool to watch how it blooms in each one of them.
What is each person in the fam’s favorite aspect of living on the island? It would be cool to revisit some of your concerns/trepidations at the start of this unique adventure and see how prayers have been answered!
