It’s Trader Joe’s Tuesday!
Hmmmmm! I get excited just walking into the store. So. Many. Possibilities.
I’ve gathered up some new (to me) things from this month and have them for you today.
It’s just my happy place 🙂 . I have lots of lunch ideas for you this time!
Well this Waldorf Salad was fantastic! It’s the perfect lunch on busy work days (with a few chips!). I really like this one, but I love this one here…
…even more! I actually didn’t use the dressing included in this salad but instead added some ranch dressing and a heavy drizzle of Buffalo sauce. Oh my word, so good!
Another lunch find this month, these! Yum, yum, yum!!! I added a few to my air fryer to have along with a salad and LOVED them! They’re not spicy, just flavorful.
Have I shared this one with you before? I could not remember? Either way, grab it for lunch!
Just put it on everything. EVERYTHING.
Okay, these are tasty! I loved dipping them in…
…the Green Goddess Dip. They had me at sour cream. And avocado.
Why has no one told me about these fully cooked maple breakfast sausages?! Are they new? Have I just been missing them? What’s happening?! You all know how much I loooooooove breakfast sausage, and these are delish!! Since they’re fully cooked, they’re super easy to heat up and serve with an egg in the morning. I love them!
So many readers reached out this month and suggested we try these g-free cinnamon coffee cake muffins. Friends, THANK YOU! We loved them! They are the perfect quick breakfast in the morning for the kids! I hope they’re not seasonal.
I love me some balsamic vinegar, but this was the first time I bought it at Trader Joe’s!
Want to know what it’s perfect with????
Well…
…take some of these marinated grilled artichoke halves (a-mazing)…
…add some of their Greek feta (yessssssss!) and then…
…you have the perfect salad with a bit of EVOO and a few tomatoes. We eat this as our salad most nights during the summer months. The perfect combination!
My kids love Beefy Mushroom Pasta so much, and we make them most of the time with these mushrooms here.
Speaking of mushrooms 🙂 .
I am obsessed with sparkling water. That being said, as much as I love blueberries, I don’t really gravitate towards blueberry flavored things…except this sparkling water is really delish! It’s very bright!
‘Tis baseball season! These are a staple in my bag when we’re watching baseball all weekend. I love them so much!!
Oh goodness, just in time for Easter! Grab a bag of these!!! I thought the flavor combination was perfection. I’m not interested in a buttered popcorn or savory jelly bean, these are all fresh and fruity and delicious!
I mean, yes, please! It’s a puffy, crunchy, salty bite of goodness.
I’ve already told you that I am OBSESSED with…
…I get two or three bags each time I go. Well, look what they have now…
…BAM.
Another ballpark staple in my bag!
I love me some falafel (especially with a salad!). These were great when I put them in the air fryer for a few minutes!
I realllllllly want Trader Joe’s to bring back the spicy pickles. I would probably buy 100 jars, ha! In the meantime, these Bread & Butter ones will do just fine! I love them on burgers and stuff, but honestly, I like to just eat them out of the jar!
Okay, I saw these two things and didn’t grab them (because they’re not g-free), but thought they looked so good…
I mean, right?! You all buy them and let me know what you think!!!
And someone PLEASE tell me about these right here!!!!
That’s it for this month’s round up!!
Don’t forget to check out…

I’m just gonna send my order with you the next time you’re going. Or better yet-just surprise me!
Kristen McGuire says
I’ve bought the pretzel bagels during my last couple of shopping trips, and I love them! I toast them and put cream cheese and ‘everything’ seasoning on top. They are similar to regular bagels, but definitely have that ‘soft pretzel smell’ and have a chewy outside texture, like a soft pretzel. I would definitely recommend them!
Kelly says
Aaahhhh…the nearest Trader Joe is about an hour away. My Spring Break starts in 10 days and a trip there is on the top of my To Do list. Thank you for sharing your favorites. ?
Elizabeth Conroy Po says
This was so interesting to read and fun. I will be making a run to TJ’s soon. Has anyone tried the roast beef in a box? You heat it up in the oven for about 20 minutes. Eating the roast was like I was eating steak. It comes sliced. A delicious meal for two.
Maggie says
You can find some Trader Joe staples on Amazon. ?
Elspeth says
So many different and fun options! Thanks for sharing!

Coffee Boba Ice Cream…you are welcome! 🙂
Sarah says
Yum!! I know you did your what you eat post, and I’ve been trying to follow it!! What’s your snack guideline? Just when you need something, or out of routine do you always have one? Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
I almost always have an afternoon snack (never morning or at night), and it’s 99% always going to be savory (mixed nuts, cheese, pepperoni, etc).
Sarah says
Thanks!! If you have those almond butter almonds is that your snack in the afternoon? Or do you have that along with another snack? Thanks!! This helps me!!
Mix and Match Mama says
I would say for the most part, no. That would be it!
Sarah says
Great!! This helps me with portion control!! If you have your ranch tacos, how many do you usually have for dinner and what side?
Mix and Match Mama says
Two with a side of guacamole is my standard (but I add that spicy jalapeno sauce to mine from TJ!)
Lauren says
Oh my gosh that artichoke tomato salad idea is genius. Totally going to try that at some point this week! I know this sounds silly, but could make it an official recipe on your blog? It’s easier to search for that way when I’m at the store an am like “what all do I need for that again?”
Mix and Match Mama says
Already wrote that down!!! YES! I will snap a picture tonight and make it a post!!
Cindy G says
I love Trader’s Joe and the closest one to me is 110 miles and I have gone by several times this past year and they’re lined up around the store and I just can’t do it. I cannot wait to go back! The Pretzel bagels are amazing, especially heating up with like some ham & cheese for a bagel sandwich with some spicy brown mustard.
Mix and Match Mama says
You guys are killing it with the pretzel bagel ideas!!!
Sarah says
Shay- I love almond butter everthing but that cereal unfortunately disappointed. It was WAY crunchy and just plain hard to eat. I even let my cereal soak for an hour in milk. The bag is tiny too. I’m curious to know what you think!
Mix and Match Mama says
Smith just had a bowl this morning! We were eating it dry last week after school as a snack too. I thought it was good. Do you think you got a stale box???
Laura says
Those muffins sound amazing! Also, not sure what your store is doing…but our TJ’s just discontinued the GF cupcakes!!! 🙁 I want to write a petition to get them back!!! lol They were so good!!!
Mix and Match Mama says
WHHHHHHHAT?! We had them last week, but I will be devastated if they’ve been discontinued!!
Laura says
I know! Fingers crossed your store keeps them!!
Judy Gauntt says
Well, you surely are great at finding finds!!
The store is too expensive for us.
katherine Darlington says
Do you have any picky eaters in your house? Did you grow up eating things like artichoke hearts?
Mix and Match Mama says
Varying degrees of pickiness. There are certain things each kid doesn’t love, but overall, they’re pretty good. Yes, actually, I did grow up eating artichoke hearts in salads!! To me, they’re kind of like a pickle…and we all know how much I love a pickle! Ha!
Candas says
We love the pretzel bagels! We use the TJ’s pub cheese on them. Not a healthy snack but super delish! ?
Mix and Match Mama says
That pub cheese though. So dang good!!!
Steven Hon says
There Hazel nut coffee creamer is outstanding!
Amy says
I used to buy the pretzel bagels for my son. They are delicious. Toasted, warm with butter – – YUM
Cortney says
According to my husband and children the pretzel bagels are amazing. I have celiac so I did not partake but they loved them as a sandwich bun (my husband tried it with some spicy mustard and roasted turkey and said it was great) and one night we did just a little bit of everything type dinner and the kiddos ate the pretzel bagels with some pepperoni and cheese and fruit and veggies. In case you need a new podcast to listen to Trader Joe’s has one. It’s hosted by two of their corporate employees and they often talk about upcoming products as well as where/how items are sourced. Definitely a fun one to listen to and gives you ideas to add to your grocery list!
Mix and Match Mama says
Ohhhhh! I hope they make a g-free version! They sound delicious!!
Susy says
It may be a year or two, but if you love the Peruvian Inca Corn then you will love the many foods of Peru! More types of corn and potatoes than you have ever seen. In fact, Argentina, Peru and Chile dining is out of this world. . . . and then there is Patagonia. And of course the mountains, sights and people! So hopeful the CDC will be able to lift the travel ban this fall! We’re all ready to leave our local county, much more to travel internationally again. So many prayers for those still suffering and those who have experienced deaths in their families!
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s on my bucket list!! I’ve always wanted to visit several South American countries including Peru!
Susy says
You will love it!
Chile: Atacama Desert, Flamingos and Geysers; Chiloe Island; Argentina: Argentinian Patagonia with the best lodging in the world Eola (Yes! The best!); Aconcaqua and Mendosa; Iguazu Falls; Puerto Madryn for whale-watching!
Peru: Machu Picchu but also all the Sacred Valley sites natch—and on and on!
Each country deserves its own trip!
Kristina says
I love reading about your Trader Joe’s hauls. Have you tried Trader Joe’s ketchup? It is the BEST. I won’t buy any other ketchup now.
Mix and Match Mama says
I love their truffle ketchup!!
Maggie says
The chicken sausage is THE REASON I go to Trader Joe’s. It’s been around for years but does fly under the radar. When I go to TJ’s, I buy 5-6 packs of the sausage and freeze them, so that we always have some on hand. The best!
Brooke Richardson says
Now I need to go to Trader Joe’s stat!
Leslie says
The sweet basil foaming hand soap is amazing!
Kristin says
Yes! I second this.
Annie T says
I know you said your house was going gluten free.. so are all these items gluten free? I would love a gluten free update if you have one!
Mix and Match Mama says
Most of them are! Some of the individual frozen lunches for me are not, but yes, I try to only buy gf items for my house. I will update that post soon!!
julie says
Okay. I am biscuit obsessed. When my family visited Charleston did we wait in line for close to an hour at Callie’s? Yes. Yes we did. I’d do it again. Anyway, you’re not missing out on the biscuits, imho. They are good-don’t get me wrong! But they aren’t really WOW. I think it’s nice that they’re easy. You can microwave or toast up for kids’ breakfast very easily. But this is one where you’re not missing out as they’re not GF.
Lately my favorite “new” find is the French roast ground coffee. I always used to by their ‘Joe’ but the French roast is absolutely amazing!
Meredith Thompson says
I always find great things to try on your TJ post!! You’re not kidding if TJ ever brings back the spicy dills I would probably buy every jar I could find. However, I have found that Kroger’s Zesty Hot & Spicy Dill Zingers are really good too.
Pamela Heath says
Have you ever tried Wickles (wicked pickles)? OMG – Uhhh-mazing!
Crystal DeWeese says
As another Spicy Avocado Hummus lover… I almost cried when they told me it was discontinued now. I loved it!
Kim says
Have you tried their dry shampoo yet? I bought it last time I went and love it!
Mix and Match Mama says
What? What? NO!! Thank you for the suggestion!!
Pef says
The peony tulips they have now are so beautiful!! But definitely seasonal!
Jordan Clevenger says
I have to get the kibbeh! The first time I ever had kibbeh was (believe it or not) in Haiti! That is where my daughter is from 🙂
Patty says
If you like the Chicken Tikka Masala try the Butter Chicken! It is a better sized portion and the same amount of fat content. The Naan (both traditional and garlic also in the frozen section) are excellent as well! I ALMOST bought the Almond butter almonds but refrained because I would have zero self control with them! I am with you on the Hot and Spicy pickle chips! When they stopped carrying them, I “may” have called every TJ’s in my city asking for updates on them from time to time! I was told there was a “production issue” getting them. Sadly, that has been almost 2 years ago! OH! And one more find! The mini chicken tacos in the frozen section are awesome!

Ahhh, I want to try all of these! ❤️✨

I enjoy your Trader Joe’s picks! My mom is a “pickle-aholic” 😉 ! She lives in west texas so no TJ’s near here. Her refrigerator has more pickles than food. I need to pick her up a jar and surprise her. Thanks for the recs. Have a great day!
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh my gosh! My kids are going to say that about me regarding hot sauce. Bahahaha!
Jennifer says
So…until your favorite spicy pickles come back, have you tried wickles? I buy them at Kroger stores. They are so good! A little sweet, a little spicy.
Mix and Match Mama says
I haven’t! I’m going to go get some!!
Nicole says
What are your go to chips with lunch?!
Mix and Match Mama says
The Chili & Lime Tortilla Roll Ups!!! Without a doubt!
Mary Thomas says
Atwoods Ranch & Home (yes the farm & ranch supply) has the best sweet & spicy pickles. I go there just to buy the pickles! lol
Tori says
I love the TJ posts. I am always interested in seeing the difference in products sold in TX than DE. I have bought about 8 packs of the pretzel bagels in the past two weeks! My son loves them toasted with ham and mustard, my teen daughters love them with the mini TJ avocados smashed on top and my youngest loves them with TJ raspberry jam. They were all big fans of the pumpkin bagels this year as well.
Maureen says
I live about a mile from the local Trader Joe’s and since I think that my husband or I are there at least once a week.
It is so interesting to see what are others favorites. My mother usually has be run to the store to get her some of their jelly beans. She is about 20 minutes from a Trader Joe’s and my brother does not get there often for their shopping.
I will have to try the Lemon Blueberry scones. I do have the items that are a must for us and they are always good.
Trader Joe’s is usually our place for standout produce.
Thanks for telling your favorites.
Kristi says
Pretzel bagels with butter and cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top ? Just like the Auntie Anne pretzels in the mall!
Lauren Sheaffer Sims says
I went today and they were out of my soft and juicy dried mangos. If they’ve been discontinued, I’m gonna flip out.
Heather Parrish says
I love your TJ recaps. The closest location to me isn’t most convenient to get to, but these posts remind me that it’s worth the trip!
If you like spicy pickles, you’ll probably like Kickin’ Pickle Chips from Kitchen Kettle in Lancaster, PA (they ship!). They have just the perfect amount of kick…and a lot of other delicious pantry foods!

My mom is Lebanese and made homemade kibbeh all the time growing up— it’s a labor of love for sure so I’m thrilled there’s a quick frozen option out there. Can’t wait to try! And you hooked me on the almond butter almonds. They are the BEST!!! And next time I’m there I’ll need to buy more than one bag?
Tabitha says
Shay, I once bought the Sour Scandinavian Swimmers because I saw them on your page, and they jumped to the top of our favorite road trip (and let’s be real, all the time) snack haha! Our store has currently been sold out for a few weeks, and I’m looking forward to having them back! Thanks for sharing all of your finds! I always love reading your blog!! <3
Lisa D says
Thick sliced cinnamon raisin bread, so very good! Not g-free though.
Biral says
The dark chocolate peanut butter cups are my latest obsession!
Mary says
I was there last week (I’m in the Houston area). I love the regular plantain chips, but I will definitely try the ones you posted! I always forget to check out the dips. Definitely going to look for the green goddess dip and those sausages next time too! I got their Italian pork sausages and they were so good for dinner. I love the dark chocolate covered almonds and my husband loves the coconut/chocolate/date bars. Great price on good organic produce too!!
Jenny says
What a great list! I’m headed there tomorrow before my Publix trip! ?
