You guys, it’s the first Friday in September!
And we get to celebrate with a three day weekend 🙂 .
Actually, three out of the four Shull kids are celebrating with a FIVE DAY WEEKEND.
Wait? Didn’t we just start school?
Yes. Yes, we did.
Lovejoy is giving their students today, Monday, AND Tuesday off which means this mama has three kiddos home for five days.
Last night, Lovejoy had their varsity game of the week (we won!), and tonight, we get to go see McKinney Boyd.
Friday Night Lights in Texas is always a fun way to kick off the weekend.

Well, it wouldn’t be the first Friday in September without mentioning…
…ALL THE FALL!
I went to walk the dogs on Tuesday morning and by the time I returned, Andrew had put my concrete jack-o-lanterns out.
And then when I arrived home yesterday after my conference…
…he had placed real pumpkins out too!
He certainly knows the way to my heart 🙂 .
I spent a little bit of time on both Tuesday and Wednesday…
…putting all my fall decorations out. You know what made me extra happy? That my kids all got excited about it when they got home from school.
I love that pumpkins make all of us happy. And yes, it was 100 degrees outside, so I just flipped on the fire for my photo 😉 .
I’ll share a full fall home tour later this month, but here’s another little pop of fall just because it truly is one of my favorite things from this week.
Also, about a month ago, I decided to layer my breakfast table rug. I added THIS ONE to my existing one, and it makes me oh so happy.

…bahahahaha! The senior cheer families bring these BIG HEADS to the games.
We have had so much fun with these things in the stands. Clearly, the littlest sister thinks they’re a riot 😉 .

I’ve said this before, but I always love when all my people are in a stadium together. Since Smith wasn’t playing on this night, he was able to come cheer on our cheerleader too!

Yesterday and today, I’ve been in downtown Dallas at a travel agency conference. I always love getting to meet and collaborating with other agents. I walk away each and every time so inspired and motivated! I absolutely LOVE what I do.

Smith was supposed to have been 75 (because that’s what he was last year), but then they decided that all of the d-line would be a number in the 90s (so he picked 97). Then, those jerseys never arrived so on game day, they found a #40 jersey that fit him and thus, this season, he is 40. Bahahaha!

I especially love all the fall decorations – inside and out. I wish I had your talent for decorating, both for the holidays and in general. Your house is lovely. We are doing a remodel and my biggest stressor is all the selections we have to make both for the materials and the furniture. I don’t have the gene that can imagine what a finished product will look like when it is all together.
