Fifteen Years!


On Wednesday, March 13th, Andrew and I will celebrate 15 YEARS OF MARRIAGE!

How cool is that?!

A lot has happened over the last fifteen years.  We’ve each grown a lot as people, we’ve each made mistakes, we’ve each had hard times, good times, fun times, crazy times…but we’ve done it all together.  In honor of this special anniversary, I thought we’d do a video version of my “girlfriend chats”.  Sit back, relax and watch my sweet hubby and me chat about our marriage…all fifteen fantastic years!

    I enjoyed watching to your video. My husband and I will celebrate 10 years of marriage this year, married at 22 and 24. I had to chuckle a couple of times because we relate in some aspects. My husband would be so nervous if I put a camera in front of him, lol!

    Happy Anniversary! I love seeing how the Lord puts together two people who compliment each other and when they recognize it, they build a team. It doesn’t make life or marriage easy, but it does pull you through together. This year my husband and I will be married 30 years and we both think we are the one in the marriage who is luckiest to find the other.

Now you should do a cute little video all about parenting and the things you’ve learned and philosophies you live by for disciplining and raising your kids.     Kansas girl here! I always forget your hubs went to Kstate! Both my husband and I went to school in KC, but we both have a lot of family and friends that went to kstate and we always root for them! EMAW! A guy I graduated HS with was starting quarterback for KSU for a bit, but that was 2006 and after Andrew’s time there, it sounds like. Also, most of my hubs’ friends graduated from KSU in ‘05 and ‘06 so I don’t know if Andrew would have known them, but still feels like a small world 😉

    AMAZING! I grew up in Irving, too! Now I’m in MO (like Andrew’s parents). I’ve been married for 31 years & yes, it is “hard” work, but worth it. Kudos to both of your parents for being awesome examples-as you both will be to your children (which are all preciously cute by the way)! I love when Andrew talks about it’s not what happens but the way you look at it, how you react to it, your attitude towards the “incident” whatever it may be. You both, with your families, help me keep faith that there are still good, honest, loyal people in this world despite the hardships you may have experienced as a couple & family.     This was my favorite post ever!! You guys are seriously #marriagegoals. I love Andrew’s perspective on life and how involved he is with the kids. He should do some sort of motivational speaking on the side lol….he had a lot of good advice!     I just had some alone time and I sat and watched the entire video. I found myself smiling at the two of you…and yes…I was trying tell Andrew German food…Schnitzel! My husband and I will celebrate 28 years of marriage in June. It is work, but like everything, it is worth it. Loved Andrew’s advice of how you react to things. That has always been me. I too don’t want to be negative. Hoping you two will do more of this in the future. It was nice to see and hear you both.
