Come on in, friends!
Today, I have another room to show you from our remodel last year.
If you’ll recall…in May 2020, we set out to add on to the second floor of our home (new office, gym, laundry area, family room, etc) and then, in June 2020, all hell broke loose when the roof was off our house for said remodel and then it proceeded to rain inside our house. All night. Thus…we basically have an entirely new house now. Sigh.
So, over the last year, I’ve been sharing pics of all the new places and redone spaces in our home.
Today, I have pics from our new upstairs bathroom 🙂 .
When we started adding on, we decided to add on another bathroom in-between my office and the family room…
…so I’m standing here on the step heading down from my office towards the (new) family room with the (new) laundry station on the right.
On the left?
Our new bathroom 🙂 .
I knew I wanted this bathroom to have the same color palette so to speak as…
…the new family room, so I found this picture on Pinterest I had pinned years ago and used it from top to bottom as my inspiration…
…no natural light in this space, but I am SO pleased with how it turned out…
…come on in!
I had to get super creative not to get myself in every single photo. At one point, I was flat on the floor. Bahahaha!
So, a ton of pics for a little space, but I wanted you to see every detail (and I clearly don’t know when to stop!).
Here are some of the resources from this project (the ones I could remember/find, sorry, I don’t have great notes on this space)…
Wall Paint: Sherwin Williams Moderate White, the trim is SW Antique White
Cabinet Paint: Sherwin Williams Naval
Cabinet Hardware (in satin brass)
Trash Can
Sconces
Mirrors: Custom cut and framed by a local glass company
Floors and shower tile: all from ProSource of Allen, TX
Sink and shower fixtures: all Delta
So, a little look inside this lovely little space.
If you missed our other recently added/renovated rooms, they’re right here…
UPSTAIRS LAUNDRY STATION
That’s it for this Thursday! I’ll see you back here tomorrow! xx

I’m pretty sure I comment on how cute that bathroom is every time I pass by! It’s one of my favorite spaces!
Maggie Brown says
Gorgeous! Are the sconces on the mirror and lamp the only light sources or is there also an overhead light fixture/recessed lighting?
Mix and Match Mama says
We have recessed lighting in there too!!
Elspeth says

Love the lamp!! Where from?
Mix and Match Mama says
Hobby Lobby!
Cindy Shook says
I love the lamp too! I recently had an “aha moment” when I realized you can push the cord up in the lamp base through the hole it comes out of so you only have sticking out what you need!!!! It’s so easy and helps keep the cord from getting wet! I’m sure lots of people know this and I’m way late to the game but wanted to pass on the “hack”!!!

Pretty bathroom! Can I ask why you decided to add another shower in this space? Always interested in the home building/design process!
Mix and Match Mama says
We had the room, so decided it was better for re-sale (we always think about re-sale) to add it since we could. Great question!
Denise says
I would love to see your gym 🙂
Sue in Oz says
Heehee! I had visions of you trying to take photos flat on the floor like Tom Cruise in that Mission Impossible vault scene.
Beautiful bathroom! I love all the details – especially the sconces.
Mix and Match Mama says
Legit. that was me! Bahahaha!
Julie says
I bow down to the light fixtures on the mirror and the flooring. Gorgeous! Very random question for you! I love how you have little lamps in your bathrooms. Do you ever have trouble with them getting wet next to the sink? Or is that something I can cross off my worry list? Thanks for sharing-enjoy the new spaces.
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank you so much! I mean…I crossed it off my worry list, but I also took the roof off my house and it rained…so proceed at your own caution 😉 .
Christin says
Love!! Do you know where the bathroom door knob is from? Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
I want to say that it’s also from the same place where all of the cabinet hardware was purchased!
Lisa D says
Lovely!
Kelly says
What a lovely bathroom! Love all of the tile you selected.
Paula R. says
Gorgeous, Shay! You did a fantastic job on the bathroom. Just lovely. Here’s an odd question for you-is the main place for your hand towel to be-is it laid nicely folded on the sink all the time? Or do you have a towel rack holder on the wall as well?
Just curious as I often lay a hand towel in that position, but other household members don’t see the need to refold the hand towel nicely after each use. Ha!
Any helpful tips to remedy this situation?
Mix and Match Mama says
That is where we keep it and yes, I do have to straighten it back about 450 times a day. Ha!
Sara says
Hahahahaah! I laughed out loud when I read you were flat on the floor at one point for the shot! ?? thank you for that this morning!

I work for a commercial construction company and three + years ago when I called my favorite glass company and ask them to cut in for sconces – they said “bad” words… not done in commercial work a lot. It worked, I love it, and they are speaking to me again. Love your house –
Laura says
I love that flooring. So perfect for a blathroom. You did a great job.
Christine says
Gorgeous tile!

Love the finishes, and the cabinetry- so classic.
This is a random question, but I am always intrigued by regional differences in design, and I notice that the walls seem to be textured. Is that typical of most homes in Texas? And is plaster applied to the sheet rock to get that? We are in Virginia, and it isn’t something we see here, so I was just curious:-) Thanks for sharing your reno / addition- it’s beautiful, and all the spaces seem like the kind of things that really make a home so livable (upstairs laundry / family room / gym… )
Mix and Match Mama says
I would say that in most residences, yes, there is some texturing to the wall (not plaster though). Our commercial buildings don’t have texture on the wall though.
Scarlett Spangler says
Love it. I hope you share the home gym next! 🙂
Sheaffer says
Well, isn’t that the cutest little bathroom. THAT TILE!!!!
Laura says
Looks great! I love the fun tile. Was wondering what the first door on the right coming from the new upstairs living room before the bathroom door?
Have a great day!
Mix and Match Mama says
Another new update for another post. Ha! I’ll take pics and post soon!
Christina says
Just beautiful, looks peaceful! You did a great job. No bathroom rug for when someone gets out of the shower?
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank you so much!! And nope, no bathroom rug.
Michele says
Does your house have a bedroom on the first floor, or are all the bedrooms on second floor?
Mix and Match Mama says
It has two bedrooms on the first floor.
Lizzie says
wow it’s gorgeous! I love all the finishes!
Kristy Moore says
Love! Is the flooring tile or vinyl? Gorgeous space!
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank you! It’s tile!

Stunning, Classy, & Timeless!!
My home was built in 2011 and has a lot warm tones. Tuscan style decor. This remodel makes me itchy to remodel!!
Did you work with a local contractor? Especially interested in the bathroom, was this a ProSource install?
And the large sliding doors in the main area going to the patio. Would greatly appreciate referrals for the North Texas area.
Mix and Match Mama says
We worked with a custom home builder, yes! We bought all of the materials at ProSource but our builder’s subcontractors installed everything. The “big door” was purchased here too. If you want me to email me, I can send you any info I have! mixandmatchmama@yahoo.com
Jen says
Are the cabinets custom-built or do you have a source for them? Your bathroom is so beautiful!
Mix and Match Mama says
They are custom built in! THANK YOU!!
Kelly says
Love the new bathroom, beautiful and classic! Especially love that floor tile!:)
Biral says
