Happy happy Monday!
Whew!
Did you guys have a great Easter?! I sure hope you did! I have a few pics to share comin’ up this week, but for now…how about a little Trader Joe’s for your Monday? I went on Thursday for my weekly run and, of course, bought a few Easter things, but today, I’m just sharing the new (to me) items that are not Easter-specific. You know how I roll…Easter is over, the sun is out…I’m counting down the days until summer break! #only33
From me to you, Happy Trader Joe’s Day!
They had a new flavor out last week…and I loved it! You know I love the watermelon version and the blueberry, but you guys…this one has been my favorite so far!
Little tulips for my office. Trader Joe’s has the BEST price on fresh flowers. It’s hard for me to stop in without getting something to add to our home.
We used them up super quick making breakfast sandwiches. Easy and…gluten-free!
You know I’m such a sucker for Trader Joe’s balsamic vinegar…but look what I found! This glaze is a reduced balsamic vinegar PERFECT for drizzling over a salad, toasty bread or for dipping. Love, love, love!
Wait for it…
…THANK YOU, TRADER JOE’S!!!!!! My kids were so pumped!!! We have been thoroughly enjoying the cinnamon version for months now, so we were super psyched to see a new chocolate version. Even if you’re not g-free, you will LOVE these muffins for breakfast or dessert.
I’ve mentioned these before, but they’re worth repeating…perfect for snacking, charcuterie boards and topping salads!
I was so intrigued that I bought a bottle. I thought this would compliment my Cheesy Ranch Tacos quite nicely. Trader Joe’s always has a great selection of spice blends, and this one just sounded like a no-brainer to buy.
I’ve purchased their hand soaps and body washes too many times to count, but this was the first time I’ve purchased their milled soap for my tub and I LOVE IT! You guys, why didn’t I know about this?! They had a lavender version that looked nice too. I feel like I scored big with this one. I think it would make a cute little gift too. Speaking of soaps…
…I bought this for my girls’ bathrooms. It smells so nice!
Yes, please! They had new seasonal flavors out. Perfect for a mid-day sip!
I never go to Trader Joe’s without buying these dark chocolate almonds. We LOVE them! This time though, I also bought their Sea Salt & Turbinado Sugar Dark Chocolate Almonds. HOLY.COW. These are so dang amazing! If you love a chocolate with sea salt, this is your snack. I will FOR SURE be buying more this week!
Saw this. Got intrigued. Bought it. I’m going to put it in my slow cooker tonight and then add it to my Brisket Chili recipe later on today in lieu of the brisket.
You can microwave this, add it to a hot skillet or stir it into something yummy. Easy side dish! If you’ve never tried Trader Joe’s frozen or canned corn before, you should. It is without a doubt the closest thing to fresh summer corn you’ll get off season.
We are guava people over here, so I was super excited to spot this guava yogurt!
A sweet little g-free treat!
These are so delish! They’re just little bites of goodness for all of us onion people. They’re great alone, with dip or on a charcuterie board!
Yes. Yes. Yes. Spicy and pork-free. Love.
Finally, about once a quarter or so, I grab a stack of cards to bring home. I always buy an assortment, they’re always so adorable, and I’m always so happy to have them on hand when a need for a card arises!
Whew! That wraps up my Monday! What should I be on the lookout for this week when I shop?! Please, please, please share your favorite May finds in the comment section for all of us to read!

Spicy pork rinds are a Slaughter favorite! I’ve never had them from TJ’s. I need to make a trip!
Susannah says
You may already know this. The carne asada is not gluten free. I made the mistake of not reading the label when served at a friends and it made me sick.
Ramya N says
I love your Trader Joe posts so much! 🙂 Can’t wait to try these finds!!
Also, The chili spiced pineapple is so delicious for a charcuterie board (or alone!).
Jennibell says
I appreciate how you link back to previous posts. Sometimes I remember something you’ve said before but it’s hard to find… You always inspire me to drive across town to Trader Joe’s!
Kristin says
What? TJ’s has cards? I need to slow down and look around more. We love that Lemon Verbena soap, and hope they never stop carrying it. Love these posts. Thanks!
Rachel Kazmier says
I LOVE the bulgogi in their meat department. One is enough for the 3 of us so if I were you, I’d buy two of their pre-marinated meats! Trader Jo’s is right on my way home from work….it’s becoming another place I shouldn’t go “unsupervised”! ?
Ashley says
The carne is really seasoned. I rinse it under water to remove some of the seasoning fyi.
Becky says
I got the lavender soap last time and absolutely love it. I was at the card section and another lady walked up. The man behind the counter they are on asked why everyone likes their cards. I told him because they are nice and also a great price! I usually grab some too!
Chrissy says
How good are those chocolate almonds with salt?! OMG… dangerous! Did you see that the carne asada is not g-free? I have wanted to buy it in the past, but sadly it’s not celiac friendly 🙁
Nikki says
A friend just told me that she likes theTJ’sdry shampoo, it’s on my list to try next.
Elana says
Does Kensington ever react from the TJ’s gf products or does it make her antibody numbers spike? I don’t know why but I often did so I’ve stopped eating TJs. Not sure if they are bad with cross contamination? Just wondering!
Mix and Match Mama says
I don’t think so…she’s had a few occasions when she’s had a reaction, but we’ve been able to identify the culprit. I don’t recall one of them being a TJ find.
Lindsay D. says
I’m so excited…a Trader Joe’s is opening in my town this month. The closest one before was an hour away, so I didn’t go often.
Kelly says
Love your Trader Joe’s finds! I also have celiac and heads up, that carne asada has wheat in it! ?. I always want to grab it but can’t.
Sheaffer Sims says
I’m grabbing those snack rinds this week FO SHO!
Dorey says
those sea salt almonds are my cryptonite! so so good!
Candace Young says
We love Trader Joe’s! I especially love these items : dark chocolate Reese cups, dark chocolate grahams, chocolate crossiants are the Bomb! Also, the garlic naan bread, their chunky salsa is delicious! Finally I love their lemon grass body oil and body butter and let’s not forget the frozen chicken and rice and frozen orange chicken! The gluten free man and cheese is scrumptious!
Kristi White says
Have you gotten the chocolate croissants recently? Our TJ says they are seasonal? They are so good?
Skimama says
The carne asada isn’t gluten free! I have celiac and accidentally bought it without reading the label.
LindaZ says
Synergistically seasoned popcorn.
It has all the flavors tangy, salty. spicy, smoky and gluten free too!
Tricia says
Thanks, Shay! As a Canadian, I always enjoy your TJ posts and live vicariously through you… ?
Rachel Kinneberg says
Your TJ posts make me jealous every single time! We don’t have a Trader Joe’s in North Dakota. Its so sad. Fargo could really use one. I think I would buy several tubs of the sea salt dark chocolate almonds in one trip!
Valerie Allen says
I have a trip to TJ’s planned for today, so this is timely. I’m going to try and find the Sunbutter cookies. We are gluten free with tree nut allergies, so they sounds perfect! Thank you!
Jeanine says
I am currently reading Becoming Trader Joe by the founder, Joe Coulombe. The subtitle is How I Did Business My Way and Still Beat the Big Guys. It’s very interesting, and I think you would love it!
Erin says
I LOVE those onion chips! I’m definitely an onion person. They are awesome on sandwiches, too- adds yummy onion and some crunch! (But you do have to eat it right away, or the chips get soggy in the sandwich.)
Geri H. says
When will ROASTED POTATOES return?
I am a huge TJ’s supporter, it’s like a miniature food disneyland!!
Victoria says
I don’t know whether you can get this but pomegranate molasses is fantastic. Mixed with balsamic vinegar for a salad dressing, or over chicken when pan frying, or a dessert topping. So versatile.
Christy says
We love using that carne asada and the pollo asada for fajita night! We just throw it on the grill and it’s ready to go!
Nancy says
I always want munchies.
Do you have any healthy munchies?
Mix and Match Mama says
I always go for nuts!
Amy Heinl says
I bought those double chocolate gluten free muffins for the first time. I am not gluten free but they look so good I figured I would give them a try. They were delicious. I went back the next day and bought more. I made a fresh raspberry glaze and put it on a split muffin with a bit of cool whip and they made a tasty little dessert too
DENISE says
I love buying their greeting cards. I also stock up when I go.
Kathy says
Ok, I live close to a smallish Trader Joe’s and barely go there. I just don’t think it is that great even though I think it’s popular here. I like Aldi much better.
Lynn says
Hi Shay! I’m sure you noticed but the carne asada is not GF. My hubby is GF and I was excited to get it after seeing it suggested so many times. I was so bummed it had wheat in it. You had a lot of intriguing items- making a list to go! Thank you!
Wilfred Cataquet says
Unfortunately the seasonal items don’t last throughout tbe season. They often only last about half way through the season before they’ve run out.
I really like shopping at TJ’s but another complaint is, items are discontinued so much. So many times I’ve gotten to really like items that I would regularly get and the next thing i know, it’s been discontinued. Uugh. So many times. It’s dissapointing.
Looking forward to the key lime pie, also the blueberry pie, which last year they couldn’t order for some reason. I’m hoping it’ll be back this coming season.
Pamela says
This isn’t from Trader Joe’s, but I thought I would mention it. C&W frozen corn is another one that tastes like the real thing. I grew up on a farm in AZ, and my grandma swore by it. (Um, swore in the food talkin’, church, twice on Sunday.. and Bible study on Wednesday kind of way.)?❤️
Lauren says
The balsamic glaze is my absolute favorite! I will also be adding the chocolate almonds and sparkling water to my list – thanks! I picked up the ranch seasoning a few weeks ago and going to try making roasted cheesy ranch potatoes with it. A few things you might want to try: Grainless granola (G-Free) is one of my favorites – add to yogurt or fruit for a little crunch! Rosemary croissant croutons, dark chocolate drizzled plantain chips, sharp cheddar cheese snack pack, and frozen chicken cilantro mini wontons (easy lunch). My dogs also love their treats and really won’t eat any others – beef jerky sticks, chicken and brown rice sticks, and salmon and sweet potatoe treats.
WhittyWife (Lindsay) says
We love their carne asada! It’s so delicious grilled! And we’re not GF, but those chocolate muffins are amaaaazing!
