Happpppppppy last Monday of the school year!
Today, I made a little list of my favorite items to buy at Trader Joe’s over the summer.
Some of them are seasonal items, some of them are there year around, some of them are produce…it’s just my typical shopping list when I shop in the summer time. I made a list, I saved it on my phone, and since I’m trying to make my life easier this summer, I thought I’d share in case you need your life to be a bit easier too.
You can find my printable shopping list right here:

I hope it helps! Print it, take it, shop for your household this summer!
Now, I will also add to it this summer if you guys remind me of items I’ve forgotten and/or give me new suggestions to try!
WHAT DO YOU BUY AT TRADER JOE’S DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS? COMMENT AND SHARE PLEASE!

Okay…are you ready for this week’s…
…this week is our last week of school, so I wanted to make the giveaway EXTRA SPECIAL!!!!
Ready? Set? Here we go!
This week, I’m giving away…
…I have TWO Rafflecopters!
One is for the “general population” to enter to win a $250 gift card to one of my favorite retailers: Nordstrom, Athleta or Vuori (the winner chooses!) and the other Rafflecopter is JUST FOR EDUCATORS to enter to win (they are able to enter both). I wanted to give a special thanks to everyone who works with children in the schools this year, so you get a bonus opportunity to enter to win a $250 gift card to one of my favorite retailers: Nordstrom, Athleta or Vuori (again, the winner gets to choose!).
If you know an educator, please share this giveaway with them so that they can enter to win!
Here is the first Rafflecopter where anyone residing in the US or Canada can enter to win a gift card:
And here is the second Rafflecopter ONLY FOR EDUCATORS to enter to win a gift card as well:
Next week, I’ll have our final giveaway item (and it’s BIG!) and a new winner will be selected a fresh new Rafflecopter. These two here are for this giveaway only. This contest ends at 2:30 PM CST on Thursday and the winner will be announced on my blog Friday morning. Good luck, friends and Happy Monday! xx

What a great giveaway! Do substitute teachers count?
Mix and Match Mama says
I’m going to trust that anyone who enters considers themselves in any way an educator that worked with kids this year in some capacity in schools.
Kara says
Thank you for the recs, love Trader Joe posts! In summer I like to grab cowboy caviar, pulled pork, and shredded Mexican cheese for a nacho platter for get togethers.
Amy Scott says
You must get the Greek yogurt elote dip! I think it’s new – with some Corn dippers, Scoops, pretzels, veggies, or tortilla chips it is to die for. I’m buying two containers on my next trip.
Haley Bishop says
Dark chocolate almond butter pretzels are my newest obsession. Pop them in the freezer, SOOOO GOOOOOOD!
Elspeth says
I always love reading your suggestions from Trader Joe’s!! Thank you for putting them together!

Do school secretaries count as “educators”? Also, I wish it was our last Monday of school. We still have six weeks to go…
Mix and Match Mama says
I am going to let you decide! I know you’re working hard and an invaluable part of your school, so I imagine you deserve it too!
Katie Compton says
2nd grade teacher chiming in to say… you MOST definitely count! Our school secretaries take care of everyone… admin, teachers, custodians, kids, parents. We couldn’t do what we do with out our office staff holding us up behind the scenes. 🙂
Thank you, Shay for recognizing us all!
Mary says
Fun! Did I miss the winner of the Barrington giveaway?

You have to get the patio chips!!! Buy 5 bags! So good!
Lisa D says
“Wild caught” salmon in the freezer section. Dark chocolate peanut butter cups, they are in a small package usually near the registers (I buy these treats year round). I love Trader’s small tinned seasonal candles…. great scents at a great price. Perfect timing, I was planning a shopping trip, I’ll be heading over to Trader Joe’s today!
Beth Valenta says
Thank you so much for recognizing us! This school counselor is counting down right now.

I updated the blog post on Monday (the Back in Boston one!) with the winner’s info. She’s already reached out to me and claimed her prize. Good luck today though!
Krista says
You need to get the cauliflower jalapeño dip!! It’s great with the elite corn dippers but I’m sure those aren’t gluten free 😢.
Karen says
I entered both, but I am at the college level. I lead our team that helps students find employment during/after college, so I think that still counts! #bestjobever #butnosummers 🙂 (I do teach a freshmen course as well.)
Crossing my fingers!
Meredith says
Can you still find the hot pepper jelly at your Trader Joe’s? Ours has been out of it for months and months, but I keep getting different answers on whether or not they will get it again before the holidays! Love it for the meatball recipe you shared ages ago!
Mix and Match Mama says
I was told at our store that last year, they made it seasonal. They said to expect it back out in August, but now, it’s going to go away after the holidays. I will be stocking up BIG TIME!
Leslie S says
Oh my gosh – I’m envious! 3 weeks of school left here. We’ll be sliding across the finish line on our knees 😂
Does Andrew have any suggestions on shoes for summer vacations? My husband has liked all of Andrews suggestions so far!!
If K has any suggestions for places to shop, and dresses for summer – my daughter is tall and having a hard time finding things that are h good for her almost 13 yr old self, so much is “old” or “babyish”.
Happy almost summer Shull family!!
Caroline says
I don’t live that close to a Trader Joe’s, but I made the drive last week.
For my fellow peanut free friends, my favorite TJ find is the dark chocolate sunbutter cups…..if you freeze them first, they are even better!!!!
Rachel Kazmier says
Thank you! This fifth grade teacher has 7.5 days left. Some summer clothes from Athleta sure would be great for our big trip this summer!
Jenny says
Thank you so much for this list!! It’s always so timely on the day I’m going to Trader Joe’s! I’m adding the acai bowls and dill pickle hummus to my list to try! Side note, there’s a Facebook group called “Trader Joe’s meal ideas for busy moms” and it’s SO helpful!!
Caitlin says
Not a summer product, but I highly recommend the Tamari Soy Sauce Rice Crackers. They are gluten free and so good. Too good! My 5 year old daughter’s favorite snack.
I enjoy following you and reading your blog! 🙂
Kathy says
Would a homeschool mom count?
Mix and Match Mama says
Of course!!!!
