But wait! In honor of such a special post here in blog world, today, I have a GIVEAWAY!
Here are the deets:
One lucky blog reader will win an ALL-CLAD GOURMET PLUS SLOW COOKER! I treated myself to one this month and already LOVE IT!!! I just know you will love it too.
You must enter the Rafflecopter in order to be eligible to win (the Rafflecopter will randomly select the name). There is only ONE requirement on the Rafflecopter and that’s “BE A POSITIVE PART OF THE MIX AND MATCH MAMA COMMUNITY THIS MONTH”.
We’re all amazing, mature, supportive, encouraging women in this community, so this time, we’re going to go on the honor system. Enter your name one time in the Rafflecopter below if you’re committing to be a fun, active, happy part of this community this entire month of August (even after the giveaway ends). That’s it. Maybe that means you’re thoughtfully commenting on most posts or maybe that means you’re sharing an IG quote of mine, trying out a recipe, reading a new book and being a part of the discussion…whatever it means to you. I’m not going to ask you to jump through any hoops, simply add your one entry to the Rafflecopter for your name to be entered if you’re planning on being a thoughtful part of this community this month. That’s it!
Easy as that! The Rafflecopter will randomly select a name on Sunday night, and I will announce that here on my blog’s Meal Planning Monday on August 19th.
THAT’S IT.
This contest is open for both residents of the US and Canada. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO ENTER THAN VIA THIS RAFFLECOPTER AND YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED IF YOU WON BY EMAIL FROM ME ON MONDAY MORNING (your name will also appear on Monday, August 19th’s blog post!). The contest ends Sunday, August 18th at 6:00 PM CST.
Happy Friday friends! I hope you have the best weekend and find a delicious recipe to make too!!

I am well beyond the school years, but watch my two little grandchildren two days a week. Dinner those days has to be in the slow cooker or leftovers. I’m so appreciative to have all these recipes to help those busy, tiring days! 💕
Susan Jeffries says
So many great recipes! Thanks! My husband and I are small business owners and we work very long hours. The crock pot is our saving grace for dinner most nights! And I am going to try making the applesauce this fall! Thanks!

You are so generous, always. And I don’t just mean with giveaways, I mean with the thoughtfulness you write each post. I don’t know if you remember or not, but I recently reached out about some of my struggles, revolving around faith and I think of your words daily. Thank you for being such a special safe place on the Internet. XOXO.

Love these recipes! I pulled some from this post a few weeks ago and sent with my daughter to college. She’s cooking for herself this year and I made her a recipe book for her to use in her new apartment. Thanks Shay so much!

Cooking is not my strong suit but I can handle a crock pot 😉 so I love these recipe ideas! And love being able to make in the morning. Looking forward to trying!!

Love, love using my slow cooker all year long!! One of my favorite things to do is make a triple batch of soup in my slow cooker (any and all kinds) and bring it in to work to share with my co-workers for lunch. I usually try to do it once in fall, once in December and once around my birthday in Feb. Everyone gets SOUPER excited, haha!
Faith says
I’m trying to get back to meal planning as I prepare to go back to work. Crockpot recipes are great for any day but especially on work days!

Reading your daily posts are always a highlight for me! I take away so much from them. I am also a big fan of your travel company, so happiness all around. Thank you ❤️

As a divorced (much older) reader – I adjust your recipes down a bit and enjoy them several nights in a row. I eat out for lunch almost every day so if I have leftovers several nights in a row I’m good with it. It saves me from cooking for just myself – or my granddaughter when she decided she likes what I’m cooking better than what they are having at her house. (7 years old) I have gotten some great recipes from you. I’ve even taken some of your non-slow cooker recipes and converted them. You are never to old to learn – thanks for being a great teacher covering a lot of subjects.

I cannot wait to try out some of these recipes for my family! Thank you for updating! They look delicious!

I’m not sure how we cooked all those years before “better” slow cookers (and recipes!) and sous vides! Thank you for putting all these recipes in one place 🙂
Kathleen Latham says
I use your cookbooks and recipes from your blog ALL THE TIME!!! Keep sharing! Also, I always have wondered if “slow cooker” is a Texas thing because here in alabama, we always say crockpot! No matter what brand it is, everyone says crockpot! So interested to see what others say? Ha!!! Thank you for being a bright spot on the internet! I have read your blog and followed along on Instagram since before Ashby joined your family!
Susan D says
I’ve never had much luck with a slow cooker but hopefully some of these recipes will turn out great!
Sharon says
It’s just me so I rarely cook anymore, but there are some recipe here I’m eager to try. Do most of them freeze well? I find that when I do cook, I end up eating the same thing all week as I’m yet to adjust to paring down recipes!
Shay – thank you for sharing not only recipes, but your life with us. It indeed feels like a community – something I believe we are all created to be a part of.
Mix and Match Mama says
Many of them freeze really, really well! If there is a specific one you’re curious about, leave me a comment on that specific recipe post, and I’ll answer you back! THANK YOU for being a part of our community!
Debbie says
As an empty nester these are great for me. It’s two nights of dinner. When I help with after school car pools it is especially helpful.
